I have struggled very hard to supersede this ―sort-of-abandonment‖ with ample time for prayers, Morning Prayers most especially, praying the Rosary and adoration of the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Now I come to share in the joy of my Risen Lord on this Easter Day. It‘s wonderful! The 40 days and nights gave me ample time to go deeper into the mystery of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. I wish you all a beautiful Happy Easter - full of hope and zeal for life! The WORD OF GOD IN A NUTSHELL: The Gospel tells the story of Mary of Magdala, who goes to the tomb but finds it empty; she runs to the disciples to report her loss. Peter and John come to see for themselves. Finally they understand the meaning of Jesus‘s words about ‗rising from the dead‘. Peter offers his personal witness: he has seen the life and death of Jesus, and eaten with him after his Resurrection. He now proclaims that Jesus is Saviour and Lord. The Psalm is a song of triumph, pro- claiming the glory of God. ‗The stone that the builders rejected has become the corner stone; this is the work of the Lord, a marvel in our eyes‘. In the 2nd Reading, Paul stresses that this faith in the Risen Lord means we, too, have died, and been brought back to true life in Christ. Our life is now ‗hidden with Christ in God‘. Hepatitis A can cause loss of appetite, nausea, yellowing of the skin or jaundice which can last from 1 to 3 weeks. People with hepatitis A are infectious for several days before they become ill, and for about a week afterwards. Initial symptoms of hepatitis A include fever, nausea, abdominal discomfort and loss of appetite which may be accompanied by diarrhoea. Jaundice and dark urine begin several days after the early, non-specific symptoms. Hepati- tis A does not spread readily where high levels of hygiene are practised. Observation of hand hygiene should prevent spread of infection. Nevertheless, there is a small risk that you may have acquired the infection so it is important that you are aware of what the symptoms are and seek early medical attention to prevent any further spread. If you have received two doses of hepatitis A vaccine you are considered immune and should not be at risk of infection. The incubation period for hepatitis A is 15 – 50 days. If you are not immune to hepatitis A please be on the lookout for symptoms until 50 days after your last exposure to the patient. Please pay close attention to hand hygiene at work and at home. Thorough hand washing after using the toilet and before eating food is also important in preventing ongoing spread of infection. If you notice the early symptoms of hepatitis A during the incubation peri- od, please visit your General Practitioner with this letter and ask your doctor conduct hepatitis A serology. Please do not attend work until cleared. A fact sheet on hepatitis A accompanies this letter.
