Starline offers free upgrade to Open-E JovianDSS with off-site data protection.
When purchasing a system with JovianDSS, users of an existing Open-E DSS V7 system receive a free upgrade to Open-E JovianDSS with off-site data protection. The promotion is valid until December 31st 2016 for single systems.The off-site data protection feature allows you to create consistent snapshots and backups and to restore the data quickly.
Your benefits: Currently licensed capacity of Open-E DSS V7 will
be transferred to Open-E JovianDSS (for DSS V7 "unlimited" the used capacity of the DSS V7 gets licensed)
Active support contracts will be transferred to Open-E JovianDSS with the same level and the existing remaining term
Get your upgrade in simple steps:
Read the logfile of your existing system with Open-E DSS V7 and send it to us.
After analyzing the logfiles we offer you a new productive system, which will replace the existing system with DSS V7.
After purchasing the new system, the data of your existing system will be migrated to the new system with JovianDSS.
After a successful data migration, the software DSS V7 will be replaced with JovianDSS on the existing system and set up as an off-site data protection server (upgraded if required).
Now you have the latest storage technology – your storage system runs the same way as the new system with JovianDSS. This allows fast and reliable backup and restore of your data.
