This was a really enjoyable lesson. The learners made it so easy for me to get the content across as they were very cooperative. They did everything that was expected of them and they were very disciplined.

Kyk na hierdie advertensie vir ‘n yskas. Daar is twee betalingskeuses:

- Kontant betaling – waar jy dadelik vir die yskas betaal (d.w.s R2 899.95);

- Krediet – waar jy oor ‘n tydperk vir die yskas betaal (d.w.s R199 x 36 maande) ;

Die kredietbetalingskeuse is ‘n voorbeeld van wat ‘n huurkoopooreenkoms genome word.

Berekening van Deposito, Werklike koste, en Totale koste van ‘n huurkoopooreenkomste

1. Bereken die depostio

Die deposito wat vereis word, is 10% ( van die kontantprys van R 2 899,95)Depositobedrag = 10% x R2 899,95 = R 289, 99 (≈R290, 00)

2. Bepaal die werklike koste - Werklike koste van’n aankoop met ‘n

huurkoopooreenkoms verwys na die totale bedrag wat iemand gaan betaal om ‘n item te koop.

- Hiedie werklike koste is altyd hoer as die oorspronklike prys van die item, omdat dit al die rente wat gehef word insluit.o Werklike koste van lening:

Oorspronklike (kontant -) prys + rente = maandelikse terugbetaling x antal terugbetaling

o Werklike koste van die huurkoop vir die yskas= R199, 00/maande x 36 maande= R7 164, 00

3. Totale koste om item te koop Totale koste om ‘n item te koop sluit al die koste in wat aangegaan word om die item te koop, insluitend die totale bedrag wat vir die lening betaal word, enige geld wat as deposito betaal is asook ander betalings (bv. Administrasiefooi).

Vir die yskas:- Werklike koste wanneer die yskas op krediet gekoop

word = R7 164, 00- Bedrag wat as deposito betaal is = R 289, 99

Totale Koste van die koop van die Yskas:

- = R7 164, 00 + R289, 95 = R 7 453, 99

4. Hoeveel meer kos dit om die item op huurkoop te koop?

Indien die Yskas met ‘n kontantbetaling gekoop word, is die totale koste R2 899, 95.

Indien hierdie Yskas met behulp van ‘n huurkoopooreenkoms gekoop word, is die “totale koste” (deposito ingelsuit)

= R7 453, 99.

Dit beteken dat die verskil tussen die kontantbetaling en die bedrag wat op huurkoop betaal is, die volgende is:

R7 453, 99 – R2 899,95 = R4 554, 04

2.2 Bykomende koste wanneer op krediet koop in vergelyking met kontant

2.3 Ja en nee:

Ja die relatief lae maandelikse terugbetalings maak dit bekostigbaar om die televisiestel te koop. As die huurkoop nie moontlik was nie, sou baie mense nie die TV gekoop het nie omdat hulle nie R3 700, 00 kontant beskikbaar gehad het nie.

Nee wanneer die televisiestel op huurkoop gekoop word, is die totale koste wat daarvoor betaal word meer as drie keer die oorspronklike prys (m.a.w., R10 665, 75 teenoor R3 699,00). ‘n Mens betaal dus beduidend meer vir die TV as jy dit op huurkoop eerder as kontant koop.
