We have a great list of volunteer positions for you to choose from. Do what you love and support others who are just beginning their gardens this year. Select how you wish to volunteer from the list of available choices below and see how we can support you with materials and education you need to succeed in your own garden (see List of Benefits). LIST OF BENEFITS:

❏ Vegetable Plants: organic, and grown in a greenhouse

❏ Seeds: organic seeds (From Seed Savers Exchange)

❏ Access to Gardening Classes with Master Gardeners: This are 6 monthly classes offer at Sabathani Community Garden PGS Plot.

LIST OF VOLUNTEER POSITIONS:

❏ Help with PGS 2016 New Participants Info/Registration Day: (3 hours)Sat. April 15st (10am). Help with registration forms, greet at door, set up of room, and clean up. We specially need someone to interpret for Spanish speaking families, and help answer questions at the end of presentation.

❏ High Raised Bed Making Workshop: (4 hours)Sat. April 29th (9:00am). We will build raised beds for people with mobility disabilities. Basic carpentry skills preferred.

❏ Raised Bed Making Workshop: (4 hours)Sat. April 29th (9:00am). We will build raised beds for new PGS families. You can learn as you volunteer, consider this option if you want to learn how to build your own raised bed.

❏ Raised Bed Installation (4.5 hours)Sat. May 6th (8:30am-1:00pm). Light breakfast and lunch. You would particularly enjoy this volunteer position if you like outdoor physical work with a great group of volunteer, shoveling rich soil into raised beds, and finally look forward to a rewarding lunch with like minded people provided at 1pm.

❏ Plant Distribution (3 hours)May 12th (5:30-8:30pm). Help prepare boxes with a variety of plants and seeds for participants and volunteers to pick up for their gardens.

❏ Plant Distribution (3 hours)May 13th (3:00-6:00pm). Help during plant distribution, and stick around when we are done to help clean up when event is done. Greeting at entrance, explain flow of event to participants.

❏ Grow Food at PGS Plot (min. 3 hours and as many hours as you want, between April-September). Flexible days/times. You will determine days/times with Plot Coordinator. In this plot we grow food for our project, to be distributed for free in the Little Free Farmers Market. You can help attend the plot at Sabathani by weeding, watering, natural pest control, etc.

❏ Administrative (Volunteer to help create flyers, improve website, update Facebook page, database, create translations into Spanish or Somali, and/ or specific research as arrange with project coordinator, etc).

❏ Join the Core Team (We will have 6 meetings in 2017- April-September). Join to help with the decision making and project development.

❏ Bike/Harvest/Attend Little Free Farmers Market.
