Rotary: Making a Difference Page 1
What’s happening at Ascot:
Handover was celebrated in style at Mt Lawley Golf Club on Sunday 1 July. Members and Partners, thirty one in total, enjoyed a relaxing breakfast to celebrate the conclusion of another successful Rotary year.
President Ron gave a short account of the year’s programs, projects and events and thanked everyone for their support and hard work. He presented several awards before finally handing over to Incoming President Aidan. Highlights for the morning included:
Sixteen members were recognised for their contribution of $100 to the fund and were presented with a certificate.
Mike Bermann was voted by the members of The Rotary Club of Ascot as a most worthy recipient of this year’s Club Rotarian of the Year.
Mike Bermann, Hugh Langridge and Christine Goss each received a Paul Harris Fellow in recognition of their contributions.
Our Plant a Tree Project has funded 100 trees and with the help of Men of the Trees we’ll plant them on Sunday 15 July at Whiteman Park. Come along and get your hands dirty!
