Mefiag Div.‘s Next Generation high-flow filter sys- tems feature a single chamber, 30,OOOgph hori- zontal disk filter system, which utilizes Mefiag’s 32-in. low-profile horizontal disks, for maximum filtration capacity and greater flow rates. This unit, which provides more than three times the single chamber capacity that was previously available, should prove attractive to platers re- quiring high volume and high flow rates due to larger tank sizes and high turnovers per hour. The Jumbo joins two other Next Generation filters, a single chamber X,000-gph and a dual-chamber 30,OOOgph system, which utilize Mefiag’s 22-in. low-profile horizontal disks.

Kinetico’s Macrolite is a highly effective water filtration media that removes suspended solids as small as 3 microns. The rounded shape provides a relatively uniform matrix of interstitial passages between the synthetic ceramic media granules, which are key to the media’s outstanding flow- versus-removal relationship. The rough, textured surface physically captures small and midsized particles as the water passes through the media bed. Macrolite is available in a variety of sizes and can be customized to meet special applications requirements. Potential applications include re- moval of suspended solids and turbidity from sur- face or groundwater, RO pretreatment, process filtration, and effluent polishing.

The Tri-Star Series Disposable Cage Assembly and Tri-Star Series Cage Housings feature an all- plastic construction and come preassembled with 15 full-size filter cartridges, making filter change- out quick and easy. Changeout time can be re- duced by 85%, thus reducing process downtime. The new cages feature an all-new patent-pending construction that resists twisting and bypass. The key is a unique double knife-edge seal design, which firmly fixes each filter to the cage creating an extremely rigid assembly.
