It's that time of year again! Wagga Wagga Public School's Got Talent audition sign up will be held in week 4 this Term. The exact day of auditions will be advised at a later date but students will need to have their music, costumes and props chosen and give me a description of what the act is by week 4. It is possible that auditions may not be until the end of Term or even next Term due to other concert/dance commitments which will give students ample practice time. Students must not however leave their act to the last minute.
There is a maximum of five students in each group and each individual is only allowed to be in one act. Acts may consist of singing, dancing, poetry, instrument ensembles, comedy skits, magic shows, monologues, drama skits and basically anything else that is appropriate for school. Students must be careful in the selection of their song to make sure the lyrics are age appropriate.
All finals will be held in Term 4 to give students the holidays to refine their acts.

Spotlight on………..
Pragya Sharma has been nominated this week for ‘In the
Spotlight’ for her positive attitude towards school. She
always tries her hardest and challenges herself when
learning new things. Pragya’s kindness and helpfulness to
both the other students in the class and her teachers make
her a good role model. She is friendly to new people at
WWPS and does her best to help them feel welcome and
make new friends.
What is your favourite thing about school?
I love learning new things and practising them at home until
I can understand. My favourite thing to do at school is
making new friends.
Can you think of something you found challenging in class?
What did you do?
I had trouble bridging large numbers. Mrs Reynolds was
able to explain it to me and then I understood.
What can you do to help your teachers and other
children in the classroom? When I have finished my work and someone is having trouble I can help them.
How have you helped new students in the
playground?
I went to the infants playground and I helped a
younger person learn how to use the monkey bars.
Do you help your parents at home?
What do you do? Yes when mum is doing some house
work like vacuuming I ask if I can help her. This makes mum
feel very happy.
Who is someone you think is a good role model for other
children? Why?
Our class is full of great people who always help each other
and they focus on their learning.
Spotlight on…
