PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS
Parent Teacher Interviews are currently being conducted. This is a most valuable opportunity for you to speak with your child’s teacher and discuss how things are going for them at school. Thank you to all our fantastic teachers at Wagga Wagga Public School for giving up their out-of-school hours time to hold these meetings. Their commitment to these interviews each year reinforces the value we place on communication and collaboration between the school and home. Thank you also to the many parents who are attending. Please remember that if you are unable to attend your meeting to please contact the school during school hours to let your child’s teacher know.

Parents and Citizens’ Association The role of the P&C in our school community is to support the interests of the school by promoting cooperation between parents, citizens, students and teaching staff; assist in providing facilities and equipment for the school by way of fundraising and the running of the School Canteen, the Before & After School Care and the Uniform Shop. We run targeted fundraising events that contribute towards a specific purpose so be sure to read all correspondence that comes home so you don't miss an opportunity to support our school.
Upcoming P&C Events for 2017 Here is a list of some of the events/activities the P&C will be running this year.

Our canteen has a small but dedicated team that work hard to provide your child with a low-cost, high-quality option for school recesses and lunches. We would love to be flooded with offers of help in the canteen - Dads, Mums or Grandparents are all welcome. There are many ways you can do this, whether it's a couple of hours one morning doing food preparation, or serving food during recess or lunch. Full-day volunteers are usually finished for the day by 2pm, which might give you time to have a break and run an errand or two before pick-up. We'd also love to have a stand-by list of people who can be called in to help at short notice (excellent for those who have unpredictable work arrangements). Please come and have a chat with Silvy or Mel, or send them an email [email protected] They are eager to find a way to let you help!
Uniform Shop When: Friday mornings 8.40am-9.15am. Where: Turn left instead of going into the front office. We are located at the front end of the administration block.
Term 1 Specials Second hand pants. All pants will be $1-2. Come in and grab a bargain. We have a wide variety of styles for sale
Volunteer List We would like to make the clothing pool more accessible to all families but we can't do it alone. We need your help. If we can get enough volunteers, we would like to open the clothing pool on a Tuesday afternoon from 2.45pm - 3.20pm. If you are interested in helping, could you please send your name and preferred contact to [email protected] Please indicate whether you would like to help Friday morning, Tuesday afternoon, during special school events like the final assembly and how often you would like to help once a week/month/term. Thank you for all the wonderful donations we have received this term.
Before & After School Care The P&C provides quality on-site before and after school care for primary school children. Staffed by fully certified child care workers. For more information regarding this service please call 6921 2322.
Ways to stay in touch We would love to hear your feedback and ideas. We have a private Facebook Group where you can keep in touch and find out what is happening within our school. We also have our email address [email protected] which you can use to contact us directly or you can come along to a P&C meeting. They are held in 2nd and 7th week of term.
We look forward to your continued support

PSSA SOFTBALL TRIALS
A huge congratulations to the 10 soft ballers who represented Wagga Wagga Public School at the Wagga PSSA softball trials on Friday, 24th March. It was a tough trial and you all did the school proud. Good luck to Sophie, Elizabeth, Isabella and Austin who have made it through to the Riverina trials to be held later in the year.
Last Thursday, the following girls attended the
PSSA netball trials: Madison, Isabella, Charlotte,
Elizabeth and Sophie. Unfortunately none of the
girls made it through to the next round but had
a great experience.
PSSA CRICKET
On Thursday, 23rd March, 2017 the boys’ cricket team played Lake
Albert Public School in round 3 of the PSSA Knockout Competition. It
was a challenging game and the boys played well despite the rain.
Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful in winning the match and will
not proceed any further in the competition. The boys should be proud
of their efforts. Thank you to all parents and carers who helped out on
the day with transport and attended to support the team. We were
grateful to have Mr Olsen attend to assist with umpiring and prepare
the boys for the game along with Mr Widdison.
