2014 is upon us and once again I’d like to thank the people of our great community for 12 wonderful years helping folks with their real estate needs, and off er this brief market update I hope you fi nd helpful.

2013 was another banner year for Tri-City real estate, with sales up about 12% from 2012. Buyers conti nue to take advantage of all ti me low interest rates and getti ng more home for their money, saving hundreds a month in interest fees. Sales have increased each year since the 2008 recession.

Even with increases in sales, inventory has kept pace and prices remain stable with a modest increase in average sale price from last year, to $208,000. Remember, we didn’t have a bubble to burst several years ago and moderate increases in sales and value point to a healthy local economy. The Tri-Citi es is sti ll one of the most aff ordable and fastest growing metro areas in the country. Community experts see nothing in our future to change this.

I believe our housing market will remain strong and that now is the best ti me in our history to make a decision to buy a home. If there’s anything I can do to help, please give me a call. I enjoy making our community bett er through homeownership.
