The Hefty® EnergyBag™ Pilot Project provides Londoners a new way to collect those hard-to-recycle plastics currently not accepted in their Blue Boxes. Simply fill the Hefty® orange bag, tie it closed and place it out to the curb on recycling day and those hard-to-recycle plastics are on their way to becoming valuable energy or material resources and potentially new composite plastic products. The Hefty® EnergyBag™ Pilot Project is an important step towards achieving positive long-term environmental and economic advantages, including alternative energy and material resources and fewer tonnes of plastics ending up in the City’s landfill. Look for your Hefty® EnergyBag™ orange bags to land on your doorstep soon! If you choose not to participate in the Hefty® EnergyBag™ Pilot Project, please notify the City by October 12, 2019 by emailing [email protected] or calling 519-661-CITY (2489) ext. 8413 with your address.
