Vigor Kristiansund• Vigor Kristiansund is a fabrication workshop that specializes in fabrication

of steel, aluminium and titanium structures, pressure tanks, processing

equipment, tie-in spools and subsea equipment.• Vigor Kristiansund is also a major provider of seafastening services.• In 2011 we moved into new fabrication facilities at Sub Sea Base.• Vigor Kristiansund has more than 40 dedicated employees with extensive

experience in welding, machining and fabrication of complicated structures

and materials.• We provide EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) services for the

offshore and subsea industries alone or in partnership with selected

engineering companies.

Location• Vigor Kristiansund is located in new and modern

facilities at Sub Sea Base. • Sub Sea Base is conveniently located across the fjord

from Vestbase, less than 10 minutes from Kvernberget

airport. • Sub Sea Base has ISPS approved deepwater quay of

>50 m length and 8 m LAT depth. A new major quay

with lifting equipment north of our yard is being

projected. • Considerable potential for load-out, seafastening and

repairs/modifications at Sub Sea Base.

FacilitiesNew, modern fabrication work shop built in 2011:• Workshop area of 4000 m2 and 1000 m2 with offices, changing rooms and

general facilities.• Crane capacity of 160 tons with hook height of 12.5m/15m.• Well equipped workshop with advanced machining and welding equipment

(including welding cranes), CNC lathe/milling machine, plasma and gas

cutting of plates up to 12 m x 3 m, and plate bending/rolling of plates up to

110 mm thickness.• Advanced heat treatment furnace (21 m x 7.5 m x 7 m).• Rubb hall for sand blasting and painting/coating.• Deep water quay and outside storage area.

• Vigor Kristiansund is one of the main providers of seafastening services at Vestbase

• Prefabrication is performed at our own workshop for more efficient job execution

• Our customers include Subsea 7, Deep Ocean, Ocean Installer and Vest Supply

• In 2012 we performed about 120 seafastening jobs without any major incidents

Advanced heat treatment furnace has been constructed at Vigor Kristiansund and is available for use by external customers:• Accommodates tanks/components up to:

20 m length x 6.5 m width x 6.3 m height

• Maximum charge weight: 160 tons• Design temp: 650°C• Propane heated with 40 pulse-fire

burners:• Rapid and efficient heating• Easy temperature regulation• Accurate temperature distribution

throughout furnace (± 10°C) • Large range of heat treatment

temperatures• Burner redundancy – loss of

individual burners has minimal effect on performance

• Computer controlled for maximum accuracy and documented performance

Quality assurance and Health, safety and environment

Vigor has had an implemented HSE management system and a quality assurance program according to NS-EN-ISO 9001:2000. A couple of years ago we decided to start the certification process for a management system in conformity with NS-EN ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 3834-2 for fusion welding of metallic materials.

Both certificates were issued by Teknologisk Institutt 15th of February

2013.

The management system (EQS from Extend AS) is web-based and clients may be given direct access
