Pumps. Ensuring the Pumps and other mechanical components they are working in order. And able to aligned the installed pump with the prime mover (3 fase induction motor).

• Replacing some damaged components to the Pump, such as Foot Valves, Pressure Valve, Impeller, Piston Rod, Pistons, Seals, O-rings and also able to change Packing’s, Valve Seals, and the bearings.

• Maintenance of the Mud Pump (Slurry Pump), Ensuring that the mud pump is in good working condition before operating it, and there is enough oil in the reservoir tank.

• Conducting routine plant check through daily plant walk and to make sure implementation of assigned projects or works within agreed targets.

Hoist House (Man and Rock Winder) / Conveyer Belt Artisan Mechanical Fitter (April 2012 to May 2015).

Hoist House (Friction Winder) Artisan Mechanical Fitter.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and Repair works to the winder (Hoist house). (The Rock Winder And Service Winder) i.e. cylinders on attachment, Cage and counter weight, north and south skips and winding engine, changing brake pads, brake adjustment, greasing.

• Maintain the Hydraulic Pump and Valves to the winder brake station and to ensure that there are free leakages of oil, and changing all can do it damaged O-rings, Hydraulic Hoses and Pipes, and seals, the replaced will avoid inefficient and ineffective movement of the winder.

• Able to carry out basic maintenance and complete documentation and to ensure the machine is in working order to transport person and materials to and fro the underground.

• Ensure that all hydraulic brake station, brake pads, Hydraulic Pressure valves and hoses, gearbox lubrication, hydraulic cylinders, seals to the cylinders rod, attachments and all the pins they are in good working order.

• Able to dismantle and assemble the attachments, even to replace together with the cylinders both to the counterweight and the cage.

• Ensure that all the upper ray and under ray ropes they are in good working order, and able to adjust the hydraulic cylinders by using the Hydraulic Pressure Pump, so that there is a recommended tension in the ropes that will be able to with stand the operation of the winder.

• Greasing of ropes, tail rope attachment bearings and other bearings to the winder. To ensure that the brakes are effective and efficient, and able to adjusted the brakes to the recommended brake gaps. Always be safety conscious in every task u are assigned to executed.

• Apply 5s standards and practices in the work place and to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

Conveyer Belt Artisan Mechanical Plant Fitter

Responsibilities

Installation, maintenance and repair works to the conveyer belt i.e. rollers, skirting rubbers, fasteners, and track and adjust conveyer belt (tension, alignment).

Training the belt is a process of adjusting idlers, pulleys, and loading conditions in a manner that will correct any tendency of the belt to run other than centrally.

Replacing some damaged rollers, skirting rubbers, also installation of rotary brush scraper, and able to install the head pulley which is the discharger belt and the tail pulley which is the receiving belt.

Able to level structure in affected area when the conveyer runs to one side at given point on structure. And to make sure the conveyer belt is in work order.

Able to splice and also to re-splice the belt if it was not spliced the joined squarely. And able to prepare for start-up the conveyer belt, also to run the machine and shut down.

To ensure that the training idlers are installed on the return side prior to the tail pulley.

Also able to adjust chute to place load on center of belt, discharge material indirection of belt travel at or near belt speed to avoid off-center or poor loading

Able to control the belt by install training idlers on the return side prior to the tail pulley, when the belt runs off at the tail pulley.

To ensure material spillage and build up are avoided by improve loading and transfer conditions, install cleaning devices, improve maintenance.

Able to control belt slip by lagging the drive pulley, increase the belt wrap, install belt cleaning devices.

Able to add counterweight or increase the screw take-up tension to value determined from calculations to avoid belt slip.

To ensure that the idlers are free and also to improve maintenance and lubrication.

Able to use proper fastener and splice technique, set up schedule for fastener inspection to avoid belt breaks at or behind fasteners, fastener pull out.

• To make sure all the necessary materials are delivered on time at the project site, and every task is completed according to the time flame.
