Tai O,a genuine fisherman’s village...
The village is set in a beautiful place, the island of
Lantau near Hong Kong. But don't let this beauty
fool you; rumor has it that this tranquil village has
a dark history. It is said that large smuggling
operations - handling everything from the gun and
drug trades, to the smuggling of people -
had their base in this very village.
Today this village by the emerald sea mixes the
beauty of old weatherworn stilt houses with lush
tropical surroundings. In other words, it is the
perfect place to display the fresh new collection of
