Ken’s Korner From Ken …
GAME ON – GAME NIGHT – FRIDAY, MAY 31ST. We want to try out a night of fellowship around the game table. This event is for everyone. We will be introducing a game called “Hand and Foot” to everyone who wishes to participate.
Bring one deck of playing cards per person to use. The Fellowship Committee is asking that you bring a dessert, a snack, a soft drink or tea/lemonade to share while we enjoy an evening of fel-
lowship. The time is 7:00 pm in the FLC Dining Room. Come one, come all!
HOLY LAND TRIP – October 30 through November 9! We have about 5-6 couples signed up as of today. It’s not too late. Our trip will be guided by Mark and Sheila Bagwell
(experienced guides). There will be a Holy Land Informational Trip meeting on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 6:15 p.m. in the sanctuary. Also for further information, please e-mail me at

AfterShock 2019 Youth Summer Events
Wednesday Nights: Bible Study starting at 6:00 p.m. with activities, games and food planned. Be sure to plan to stay later than our usual 7:00 p.m. dismissal time.
Sunday Nights: Will resume in September when MARK Club resumes
Youth will not meet: VBS Week (June 9th—13th), July 4th or July 31st

Members of our Foreign Missions Team led by Randy McManamay have recently returned from Oaxaca with great news. The Iglesias Betania Church has requested our help this summer! Here is the part of the message from Randy! We have been asked to plan and implement the recreation/activity time with each of five age groups during the five days of VBS held August 12 - 16. Children are divided into these age groups: 3 & 4 years old, 5 & 6 years old, 7 & 8 years old, 9 & 10 years old, and 11 - 14 years old. Each group will be given 30 - 40 minutes of recreation. Each group may have between 20 - 25 children. VBS will begin each morning at 10 AM and will end at 1:30 PM. A full meal will be served to the children at 12:00 PM each day. They will have Compassion on Saturday, August 10. They will set up for VBS on Sunday afternoon, August 11. They will have a celebration of VBS with parents during the evening of August 17. We need between 4 - 6 individuals to make up the team along with 2 - 3 interpreters. We have reserved the entire strategy house for this time period. Our current plan is to leave for Oaxaca on August 9 and to return on August 19. Hopefully, some of our people have been praying about whether or not the Lord is leading them to be a part of the team. We will need to buy airline tickets during the first week of June. Individuals will need to deposit a minimum of $730 into account 4550 (through the church office) by June 2 in order to secure an airline ticket. (Later air flight bookings may cost more). It is likely the trip may cost as much as $1150.00 (payable to College Street Baptist Church). There may be an option for some team members to come on August 9 and leave early or for some to come mid-week and leave on the 19th. The airline ticket would likely be the same, but the shorter stay might reduce the price of the trip by about $35 - 40/ day. On a personal note, Oaxaca is a beautiful city and would be an excellent opportunity to see some of Mexico while also serving the Lord in ministry to many children. Ken Reid & Randy McManamay

SANCTUARY FLOWERS Would you like to place flowers in our sanctuary in honor or memory of someone special in your life? If so, please let us know and we will be happy to place this information on our 2019 Flower Calendar for you. Be sure to include the information you would like printed in the bulletin and newsletter for that particular Sunday. Thank you in advance for your contribution toward the beauty of our Worship Center.
As you know, we continue to collect used printer cartridges. We are able to deliver these to a local business where we receive credit for office supplies/equipment. We are allowed to deliver twenty (20) per month and with this receive $40 credit. This goes quite a long way
when we have need of paper, etc. for the office. If you have used cartridges available, please drop them off by the church office or the Sunday School office.
We’ll be happy to recycle these for you. Thanks!
Hi CSBC! We had an awesome YEAR FIVE Spring Finale at MARK Club! Thanks to all of our amazing volunteers for making it happen. We are looking forward to celebrating Year Six this fall. Can you believe it’s almost summer? Our youth and children have an awesome summer coming up! Here are some events to go ahead and mark on your calendar. May 19 - Parent Meetings for SummerSalt (3:00 pm) and KidSalt (4:15 pm). If your child is coming to SummerSalt or KidSalt, you’ll need to be at these meetings for important information and paperwork. May 26 - Graduate Recognition Sunday! We are looking forward to celebrating our high school graduate. June 8 - VBS Set Up Day and Volunteer Meeting - Can you believe it’s almost time for VBS 2019? All volunteers can come set up their classrooms on June 8 (or set up a time with Lauren or Vanessa if you can’t come Saturday morning). Be sure to come at 11:30 am for our Volunteer Meeting. June 9-13 - VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2019! 6:00-8:40 pm. Join us “In the Wild”! You can register your children online now. Go to our website at www.collegestreetbaptist.org to sign up. June 19 - WOW Wednesday activities begin with our Splash into Summer party from 5:00-7:00. Meet at the church to ride the bus to our pool location. Be sure to bring a swimsuit and towel! June 19 - Our youth start their Wednesday Night Summer Bible Study and Gym Activities Nights each Wednesday throughout the summer. June 21 - Community Pool Party- The Walhalla Baptist Ministers Group is hosting a pool party at Walhalla City Pool from 6:00-9:00. Children grades Kindergarten-completed Fifth Grade are invited. This event will feature lots of treats and fun activities! Looking forward to a great summer! Ask me how YOU can get involved.

Your tithes, offerings, and donations to College Street Baptist can now be made online. Tithing and donating have never been easier. It's quick, easy and secure and you can use debit or credit or check cards, or checking account. Just go to our website at www.collegestreetbaptist.org for further information and instructions. Online giving is not replacing any of the traditional ways we already give, but is an additional option to those who prefer to make their donations by computer, cell phone or other mobile devices. College Street is using a church donation system provided by the Easy Tithe corporation. EasyTithe is church specific and is currently used by hundreds of churches across the nation. You can make a regularly scheduled contribution or you can specify recurring donations. You can specify whether the contribution should go to the general budget or to designated categories. A credit card (MasterCard, Visa, or Discover) or a debit card can be used as well as a regular checking account. The process is secure and confidential and you will have continual access to your giving records.
