Candida albicans is the most common fungal microorganism of candidiasis in humans

The fungal microorganism is also known as candidosis, moniliasis, and oidiomycosis.

It can be of many types such as skin, oral, nail ,vaginal and esophagus etc….,

Most common is the Vaginal thrush.

Caused by types of fungal yeast Candidia species

Commonly live around the skin on the vaginal area

Vagina is the common site for candidial infection because candidia is favorable in conditions where there is warm, moist and airless part of the body

Most common causal species is Candidia albicans and also other species like Candida glabrata or Candida tropicalis

Vaginal discharge which is usually creamy , white and thick and also sometimes watery

Causes itch, redness, discomfort, or pain around the outside of the vagina (the vulva)
