BRIGADIER GENERAL LANSING R. PILCH

Brig. Gen. Lansing R. Pilch is the Vice Commander, Seventh Air Force, Air Forces Korea, and Chief of Staff, Air Component Command, Osan Air Base, South Korea. The Seventh Air Force mission is to organize, train and equipwarfighting forces supporting the air component command assigned to the combined forces command and perform missions that support United Nations Command armistice maintenance.

General Pilch received his commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1993. He was a distinguished graduate of the U.S. Air Force’s Weapons Instructor Course and has served as an instructor and evaluator pilot in the F-16 Fighting Falcon, the F-22 Raptor and the F-35 Lightning II. As a squadron commander, he was the first to lead an F-22 squadron to the Central Command area of responsibility. Prior to his current assignment,General Pilch served as the Commander of the 33rd Fighter Wing, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.

General Pilch has commanded at the squadron, group and wing levels. He is a command pilot with more than 3,000 flying hours in multiple aircraft, including the F-35A, F-22A, F-16, F-15, E-3 and C-17.

BRIGADIER GENERAL CHARLES L. PLUMMER

Brig. Gen. Charles L. (Chuck) Plummer is the Commander, Air Force Legal Operations Agency (AFLOA), Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. As the Judge Advocate General's Corps' only G-Series commander, he is responsible for the command and control of a 900-member organization of legal professionals, composed of officers, enlisted members, civilian attorneys, paralegals and support staff operating at 76 locations worldwide. He is responsible for assisting The Judge Advocate General in the administration of military justice throughout the Air Force, and defending the Air Force in civil litigation before federal and state courts and administrative boards. He is also responsible for training Air Force legal professionals through The Judge Advocate General's School, and providing legal information technology support to Air Force legal offices worldwide. Additionally, AFLOA is organized around a system of Field Support Centers of legal specialists.They include legal experts in military justice, commercial litigation, contract law, aircraft accident investigations, environmental law, labor law, medical law, utility litigation, tort law and the Air Force Claims Service Center.

General Plummer was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. He was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 1994. From August 1994 to September 1995, he practiced as a civilian attorney with firms in Buffalo and Syracuse, New York. He entered the Air Force by direct appointment in September 1995.

General Plummer has served in a variety of legal positions at the base, the field operating agency, the air staff and the joint staff levels. In addition to his traditional assignments, he served a rotation as the Staff Judge Advocate to the 3rd Air Expeditionary Group, Kwang Ju Air Base, Republic of Korea, and as the Staff Judge Advocate to a Joint Special Operations Task Force in Jordan.

Brig. Gen. Jim Sears is Director of Intelligence, Operations and Nuclear Integration, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, Joint Base San Antonio Randolph, Texas. He is responsible for developing policies and programming resources for Air Force technical and aircrew training programs including enlisted accessions; initial skills and undergraduate flying training for active, Reserve and Guard personnel; Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training; and non-rated supplemental training. Along with formulating training policy, he maintains the ability to respond to contingency and expeditionary requirements. His team also integrates nuclear education and training throughout Air Force schools.

General Sears was commissioned in 1991 as a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy. He has commanded at the squadron, group andwing levels and held staff assignments at Pacific Air Forces U.S. European Command, and the Air Force Personnel Center. His flight experience includes C-130 low level special operations, every conventional mission in the F-16, and three AETC assignments as an instructor pilot. Prior to his current assignment he was the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing Commander, Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan.

General Sears is a command pilot with more than 3,600 flying hours, including contingency and combat sorties over Bosnia, Yemen, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Donna Shipton is the Air Force Program Executive Officer for Tankers, Tanker Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. She is responsible for the planning and execution of all life cycle activities for the AF’s tanker fleet, to include development, test, production, fielding, and support of the KC-46 tanker system, as well as modification and support of the fielded KC-135 and KC-10 tanker systems operated by the AF and partner nations. BRIGADIER GENERAL DANIEL L. SIMPSON Brigadier General Daniel L. Simpson is the Director of Intelligence and Information for North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command, both headquartered at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. In this capacity he serves as the senior Intelligence Advisor to the Commander of NORAD and USNORTHCOM and directs all intelligence activities for both commands. Brigadier General Simpson enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1986, starting his military career as a combat communications specialist. In 1988, he was selected to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy, graduating in 1992. After finishing intelligence technical training in 1993, he had squadron-level operation assignments with F-15E, F-16CJ, and special operations units. He is a career intelligence officer and has served as a Weapons Officer at both the tactical and operational levels, as well as instructed at the United States Air Force Weapons School. At the strategic level, he was entrusted with the nuclear “football” and assisted in national command decisions as the Military Aide to the Vice President of the United States. As Commander of the National Security Agency, Texas he ensured cryptologic support and cyber operations to nine combatant commands, Department of State, Department of Justice, homeland security agencies, national policymakers and allied partners. BRIGADIER GENERAL JEREMY T. SLOANE

Brig. Gen. Jeremy T. Sloane is Commandant, Air War College, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala. The Air War College is the Air Force’s senior professional military education institution, providing post-graduate senior leader development programs focused on joint, multinational, multi-agency warfighting and international security operations, air, space and cyberspace force strategy development and national security planning. General Sloane graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering. He earned his pilot wings at Columbus Air Force Base, Miss., in 1996 and completed the F-16 Initial Qualification Course at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., in 1997. He has held a variety of F-16 flying assignments to include USAF Thunderbirds Operations Officer, Operations Support Squadron Commander, Deputy Operations Group Commander, Vice Wing Commander and 8th Fighter Wing Commander, Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea. General Sloane also served on the Joint Staff as the Broader Middle East Division Chief, Operations Directorate (J3), where he led a sensitive coordination and planning effort regularly reviewed by the Chairman and Secretary of Defense. Prior to his current assignment, General Sloane served as Vice Director of Operations for North American Aerospace Defense Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. BRIGADIER GENERAL ROBERT S. SPALDING III

Brigadier General Robert S. Spalding III assumed the duties of United States senior defense official and defense attaché to China in 2016.

General Spalding received his commission through Fresno State University’s Reserve Officer Training Corps program in 1991. He earned his doctorate in economics and mathematics from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 2007. The general attended undergraduate pilot training in 1993, and was subsequently assigned as a B-52 Stratofortress co-pilot in the 5th Bomb Wing at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. Hesubsequently transitioned to the B-2 Spirit at Whiteman AFB, Missouri. In 2001, he was selected as one of three Air Force Olmsted Scholars and was a distinguished graduate of Mandarin Chinese language training at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California. Afterward, the general attended Tongji University in Shanghai as a graduate research student. He then returned to Whiteman AFB as a B-2 evaluator pilot and assistant director of operations for the 393rd Bomb Squadron. The general was then assigned to the Office of the Secretary of Defense’s Prisoner of War Missing Personnel Office as the military assistant for the deputy assistant secretary of defense. During the Iraq surgein 2007, General Spalding deployed to Baghdad and directed the Personal Security Coordination Center. After a stint at the Air War College at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, he was reassigned to the B-2 at Whiteman AFB.

While at Whiteman AFB, he was the chief of safety, operations group commander and vice wing commander. He was then selected as a Military Fellow at the Council of Foreign Relations in New York. Prior to his current assignment, he was the chief China strategist for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, the Joint Staff at the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. General Spalding speaks Chinese-Mandarin and Spanish.

Colonel David H. Tabor is the Special Assistant to the Commanding General, U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), MacDill AFB, Florida. He is responsible for preparing the Commanding General for all engagements with senior leaders of the Department of Defense, United States Government and International Partners. He leads a team of six joint officers as Director of the Commander’s Action Group.
