• These are names of places, people, certain kind of plants, stuff, or a kind of tools, music instruments, etc, and the list can go on and one.

• You can guess or put them into a certain category based on your common sense

• You don't need to remember or look up any of the first two types of words for you don’t know much more about them even you look them up in a dictionary.

• A fathom (abbreviation: ftm) is a unit of length in the imperial and the U.S. customary systems, used especially for measuring the depth of water.
