n Onbeskermde treinkruising in Kraaifontein

is n massiewe rampwat net wag om te gebeur.

Intussen blyk dit asof owerhede sloer om di

gevaarlike kwessie aan te spreek.

Die kruising in Railway- en Boy Briersstrate

reg langs die Buhrein-landgoed, word daagliks

deur honderde vragmotors, taxis en skoolbus-

se gekruis.

Volgens verskeie TygerBurger-bronne ver-

voer die taxis en busse kinders, wat in Walla-

cedene en Joostenbergvlakte woon, na skole in

Kraaifontein.

Dieselfde bronne meen ook dat die vragmo-

torsmeestal goedere vervoer na die boupersele

by die bogenoemde landgoed, waar daar die af-

gelope jaar al gebou word.

Sodoende, beweer n ingeligte bron, spring

die honderde swaar gelaaide vragmotors dan

dieweegbrugopdieN1vry.Van2011 af het talle

moedelose inwoners al skrywes aan die Koe-

berg-subraad en die Stad Kaapstad gerig.

Volgens een so n inwoner, Elmarie Gerber,

is daar drie groot skoolbusse wat daagliks die

treinspoor oorsteek. Gerber het haarself al in

Mei vanjaar na die Koeberg-subraad gewend

oor die probleem,maar het tot dusver nog geen

daadwerklike optrede gesien nie.

Volgens Gerber jaag die volgelaaide trokke

met n gevaarlike spoed van tot 90 km/h die

straat af en oor die treinspoor, en veroorsaak

daagliks groot stofwolke.

Vir inwoners soos Elmarie word hulle le-

wens daagliks ondraaglik gemaak deur die stof

en lawaai, maar is die onheilspellende gevaar

wat die kruising vir ander onskuldige padver-

bruikers inhou, nog meer kommerwekkend.

Nie net is die lewens van ons gesinne, wat

die pad daagliks gebruik, in gevaar nie, maar

ook di van die talle kinderswat elke dag skool

toe vervoer word, s sy.

Ook n ander inwoner, Frik van der Vyver,

is verstom dat die kruising nog steeds onbe-

skermd staanmaande nadat hy n e-pos naBret

Herron, burgemeesterskomiteelid, oor die

kwessie gestuur het.

Ek skryf al sedert 2011 briewe aan die Stad,

maar nog steeds staan die kruising oop. Dit is

vir my skokkend dat daar so lank gesloer word

om die kruising toe te maak, veral in die lig

van die feit dat soveel kinders se lewens in ge-

vaar gestel word, het hy vandeesweek aanTy-

gerBurger ges.

As die kruising toegemaak word, sal dit so-

veel probleme oplos. Die trokke sal nie meer

daar kan afjaag en stofwolke veroorsaak nie,

en taxis en skoolbusse sal ook veiliger roetes

moet volg.

TygerBurger het vasgestel dat Van der Vy-

ver se skrywe wl deur Herron se kantoor

ontvang is en weer terugverwys is na die

Koeberg-subraad.

Volgens Gerhard Fourie, subraadvoorsit-

ter, het die subraad en die Stad Kaapstad

vroer vanjaar die navraag aan Metrorail

gestuur, maar is geen terugvoering nog van

hulle ontvang nie.

Intussen het ons ook vele samesprekings

gehad met stadsingenieurs en die verkeers-

departement oor hoe die kruising beveilig

kan word, het Fourie gister aan TygerBur-

ger ges.

Volgens Fourie probeer die subraad nog

vasstel of albei die bogenoemde paaie gepro-

klameer is.

Indien die paaie wel geproklameer is,

hoekom is die kruising dan nooit met rooi

ligte of n hek beveilig nie? is volgens Fou-

rie een van die vraagstukke.

Ons doen ook tans n ondersoek om te be-

paal of ons by magte is om die kruising te

beveilig en net beperkte toegangmoontlik te

maak met sementblokke, s hy.

Volgens Riana Scott, woordvoerder van

Metrorail, is Transnet verantwoordelik vir

die spoor en ookdie beveiliging vandie krui-

sing.

Luidens n verslag wat in 2006 deur die

Treinspoorveiligheidsreguleerder (TVR)

opgestel is n die Faure-treinramp, is die

aanbeveling gemaak dat die treinspoorope-

rateur verantwoordelik gehou word vir vei-

ligheid.

Di ramp het 19 lewens geis toe n trein

by n soortgelyke spooroorgang teen n vrag-

motor, wat kontrakwerkers vervoer het, ge-

bots het.

Met druktyd het TygerBurger nog nie

kommentaar ontvang van Transnet nie.

Robin Carlisle, provinsiale minister van

vervoer en openbarewerke in dieWes-Kaap,

het gister ges dat hy die kwessie sal aan-

spreek.

Ekwas onder die indruk dat alle onwetti-

ge kruisings toegemaak moet word.

pig share a special bond that transcends their differences.

They spend their days traipsing

the dusty grounds of the scrap-

yard they call home, but it is at

night that love flourishes be-

tween the unlikely pairing of

Pepper the great Dane and Basil

the potbelly pig.

Those two are in love. You

have never seen anything like

it, says Leon du Preez, owner of

the Ford Cortina Centre in

Brooklyn, Milnerton were these

two animals share this special

bond.

I used to have four other dogs

here but when Basil arrived I

had to remove them. If any of the

other dogs came near him, Pep-

per attacked them, Leon ex-

plains.

By day the exuberant and very

loving Pepper is confined to her

kennel in the corner of the

premises, as Basil scuffs and

snouts around the sea of car

wrecks in the yard.

The two-year-old Basil was in-

troduced to Pepper when Leon

adopted him about a year ago.

He was a pet of friends of

ours, a Jewish family. He grew

up with six dogs and lived on

their verandah. When the

daughter left home, they didnt

want him anymore and I

brought him here, Leon says.

And since then the relation-

ship between the canine and the

porker has blossomed. Where

other dogs might have looked at

Basil and seen next Christmass

lunch, Pepper was infatuated by

the new addition to her home.

They do everything together,

they sleep and eat together,

says Leons wife, Nikky.

A pig at a scrapyard and auto-

motive shop is also a delightful

surprise for Leons customers.

Basil is well-known to my

customers. One of the things

they like doing is to put a Ford

cap on his head and then take a

photo. And he loves it, he says.

toe sy op haar 74ste verjaarsdag

vir die eerste keer haar enigste kind ont-

moet het.

Vir di dogter,Marietjie de la Guerra van

Kraaifontein, was dit die einde van n soek-

tog van 20 jaar.

Op die ouderdom van amper 50 voel ek

weer soos n klein dogtertjie wanneer ek

aan haar dink. By ons eerste ontmoeting n

week of wat terug, kon ek nie my o van

haar afhou nie. Ek het starend na haar ge-

kyk en gedink, dis my ma wat hier voor my

sit...m ma! vertel Marietjie jubelend.

Ons drink koffie in haar sonnige voorka-

mer in Windsorpark, en Marietjie is borre-

lend soos n kind, maar elke nou en dan

raak die rou emosies te veel vir haar en dan

raak sy eers n rukkie stil en vee trane af.

Maar dis hartstrane, trane van dankbaar-

heid en blydskap.

Obsessief

Vir Marietjie, wat op Piketberg grootge-

word het by haar aanneemouers, was hier-

die naarstigtelike soektog na haar biologie-

se ma amper obsessief.

Ek moes weet vanwaar ek kom, en waar

ek hoort. Al het ek selfs net n foto van haar

gehad om te sien hoe sy lyk, sou ek gelukkig

wees.

Op 24-jarige ouderdom is Ina, n ongehude

moeder, deur haar familie na n tehuis ge-

stuurwaar haar baba aangeneem souword.

Ongehude swangerskap was n groot

skande in daardie jare, en jong meisies is

doodeenvoudig in die laaste maande van

hul swangerskap weggestuur, s Marie-

tjie.

Haar baba is by geboorte onmiddellik by

haar weggevat, en deur die nonne by die te-

huismet n bottel gevoer. Sy is nie toegelaat

om te sien hoe haar kind lyk nie.

Sy het my vertel hoe sy snags na die ba-

bakamer gesluip het en probeer inloer het

ommy te sien. Maar al wat sy kon sien, was

die re van die nonne wat my gevoer het.

Sy het my gehoor huil, en volgens haar het

sy net geweet dis haar baba, vertel Marie-

tjie.

Ina het destyds n nie-openbaarmakings-

aanneming geteken, wat beteken het sy sou

nooit na haar kind kon soek nie. Sy is later

getroud,maar het nooit weer kinders gehad

nie.

Marietjie het intussen op n jong ouder-

dom uitgevind dat sy aangeneem is, maar

het uit respek vir haar aanneemouers ge-

talm met die soektog.

N die afsterwe van haar aanneemouers

het Marietjie egter op 30-jarige ouderdom

doelgerig begin soek.

Ek het soms vrae gehad oor hoekom sy

my opgegee het, maar nog meer belangrik

was die begeerte om haar te kry en dankie

te s, dankie dat mamy n lewe geskenk het

en n kans op n beter lewe gegee het.

Haar soektog het by die aannemings-

agentskap in Pretoria begin, waar sy eers

n naam gekry het. Vandaar het die soektog

baie draaie gemaak in verskeie Bolandse

dorpe tot sy vanjaar haar storie vertel het

op die Facebook-blad Waar in dieWreld.

Marcel Smit van die FB-blad het haar ge-

skakel en kon dadelik help met n geboorte-

datum en adres.

Oproep

Van daar het sy nog n oproep gekry van

n boer in Robertson, wat haar ma se huidi-

ge selfoonnommer vir haar gegee het.

Ek kon nie glo alles het so vinnig gebeur

nie, en voor ek my kon kry, was ek op pad

Robertson toe. Die padwas lank enmy bene

was jellie.

Toe Marietjie voor die huis stop, was sy

oorstelp deur die gebeure wat tot nou toe

nog so onwerklik gevoel het.

Ek kan aan niemand beskryf wat ek in

daardie paar minute, nadat die voordeur

oopgegaan het, in my gees ervaar het nie.

Sy het daar op die bank gesit en na my ge-

kyk, maar haar gesig was vertrek in rou

emosie.

Toe val sy net plat op die bank en begin

huil, vertel Marietjie.

Sedertdien het die twee vroue nog nie op-

gehou praat nie.

Sy belmy elke dag en ons praat oor alles.

Sy lyk net soos ek en het al my maniertjies.

Dis asof ek in n spiel kyk. Ek kan nou nog

nie glo ek het my ma gekry nie, en is dank-

baar vir die tyd wat ons nog oor het om n

leeftyd se ondervindinge in te haal.

Marietjie beoog om volgende jaar n boek

te skryf oor haar soektog juis om ander

in haar posisie te help.

Ek wil ander mense wat aangeneem is,

en dieselfde soeke het, help en inspireer om

nooit moed op te gee nie.

by two local design students at the

Bellville branch of CPUT, when they de-

signed an innovative product that can

change thewaymillions of poor SouthAfri-

cans live today.

from Brackenfell and

Chenjerai Kamushinda

(37) from Kraaifontein,

designed a plastic floor

bathing tub for shacks,

which was recently cho-

senas one of 16 finalist de-

signs in the Shift, Fresh

Talent Sustainable De-

sign Competition.

The first prototype,

when completed, will be

exhibited throughout the

country next year and at

a prestigious Swedish de-

sign exhibition during

2013.

The plastic floor bath-

ing tub, is a specially de-

signed bathtub for use in

small spaces common in

shacks in townships and

made out of recycled plas-

tic. The bathtub can be

easily put up or folded away when not in

use.

According to Carmen, they had to come

upwith a sustainable product,whichwould

not only enrich the lives of people in infor-

mal settlements, but also have a positive

impact on the environment.

According to Carmen, on average five or

six people live in one shack and share one

portable toilet outside. They have no baths

andare forced toundress in front of the fam-

ily to wipe themselves clean with a bucket

of water inside the shack.

This they dowithout any formof privacy,

after which the dirty water is simply

thrown outside.

Hence, the Plastic Floor Bathing Tub.

The product itself is a

floor tub, compact enough

to fit into a shack floorwith

a plastic covering around

it.

The recylable plastic tub

has an easy-to-fold cover,

which can be hung on the

roof allowing the rest of the

family to go about their

business, while a family

member is bathing.

It will allow an adult per-

son to bath in privacy,

while standing or sitting.

At its base it has anoutlet

connected to a pipe, which

is in turn connected to an

underground or surface

water collection system

that leads to a communal

water cleansing station.

Water can be recycled and

used again for communal

gardens, Carmen says.

For Chenjerai sustainable living means

that we have to unlearn most of the bad

habits that we have been using in the way

we produce our products and the way we

consume them.

Churches take a

stand against drugs

in the march against drugs.

Heeding the call of Western Cape MEC of

Community Safety Dan Plato, the spiritual

leaders of Scottsdene recently took a stand

against drugs in their communities.

Last Sunday afternoon big groups of peo-

ple under the leadership of the Christelike

Afhanklikheidsbond of Scottsdene took

part in a march in Scottsdene.

The people who really care for

Scottsdene came to the United Reformed

Church of Scottsdene and walked from

there through the streets and prayed for the

safety of Scottsdene, saysCaptainGerhard

Niemand of the Kraaifontein police station.

The participants compared this march

to those they had in the past during the

struggle, he added.

Since the death of Lorinda Matthews,

who was gunned down in Scottsdene three

weeks ago, there has been a lot of church

activities and since then the shootingswere

relatively fewer, Niemand said.

Scottsdene has been hard hit by gangster-

ismand turfwars, withmore than 20 people

dead and tens more injured in the last few

months.

Churches need to be like the leaders

from old.We cannot forget howArchbishop

(Emeritus) Desmond Tutu and Reverend

Allan Boesak walked in front of the march-

es, showing that they do not fear earthly en-

emies.

At the end they succeeded and won the

battle against apartheid. The same should

be done for drugs and gangsterism, Nie-

mand said.

A new traffic act allowing the provincial

traffic department much more bite, was

passed by the provincial legislature last

Thursday.

While much of the new act is largely ad-

ministrative, it empowers the provincial

minister of transport to regulate certain

matters to increase road safety in the prov-

ince. I can now carry out investigations

at any vehicle or drivers licence testing

stationwithout requiring permission from

the National Department of Transport.

This will greatly assist in dealing with cor-

ruption and jailing the offenders, said

RobinCarlisle, provincial transportminis-

ter.

By January 2013, I will publish condi-

tions for use of blue lights in the province,

restricting such use to emergencies. I will

also issue a regulation requiring all vehi-

cles overtaking cyclists, to ensure that

there is a safe distance of at least 1,5metres

between them before passing. This will be

accompanied by law enforcement actions

against cyclists who do not ride in single

file, or who fail to stop at red robots or stop

streets. While we have reduced annual cy-

clist deathshere from57 in 2008 to 35 in 2011

(reduction of 39 %), its still too high.

The new act becomes part of the arsenal

of weapons employed by the Western Cape

government in its Safely Home campaign

to end road carnage, and cut the death rate

by half by 2014.

New traffic

The newly formed non-profit organisation,

Youth Enlightenment Zone (YEZ), in

Kraaifontein is hosting a Hip-Hop dance

competition, called Rhythm Race on 14 De-

cember at 19:00 at the Kraaifontein Civic

Centre.

ThisNOG focuses on improving the lives

of the local youth through sport, life skills

and education, by utilising the time after

school and providing one nutritional meal

per day.

Hip-hop dancing is one of the disciplines

used by the organisation to fullfill their

mandate.

Senior burgers van Northpine, Bernodino Heights, Scottsdene,

Eikendal, Watsonia en Belmont Park het die geleentheid byge-

woon. Die ete het op 22 November by die Scottsdene-jeugsentrum

plaasgevind, waar verskeie groepe senior burgers byeen gekom

het.

Twigg het aan elke senior burger n hoedjie gegee met sy of haar

naam daarop geborduur en hul bedank vir die belangrike rol wat

hulle in die gemeenskap speel.

Die klubs vir senior burger dra baie by deur hul naaldwerkpro-

jekte en uitreikaksies wat hulle in die gemeenskap doen, s hy.

en n motiveringsboodskap oorgedra. Sy het die senior burgers

A puppet show Puppets Alive! featuring

Goofer and Spike and Tiggers Present

is presented by the Gail Petersens Chil-

drens Theatre on Tuesday 11 December

and Wednesday 12 December in the hall of

Kenridge Primary School.

The Gail Petersens Childrens Theatre

dates back to 1992when the first childrens

theatre show was performed.

According to Petersen she is starting

this new venture to present more puppet

than theatre shows lately. She has written

the humourous script for both stories,

with the one character even performing a

dance in Gangnam style.

People think that working a puppet is

just having a doll at the end of your hand,

but it takes skill to let the puppets come

alive and act realistically.

Pupils find it quite challenging to mas-

ter, she said.

Petersens love for drama dates back to

an early age. At the age of five, she per-

formed at the old Empire Theatre in Jo-

hannesburg as a juvenile dancer in a pan-

tomime of Aladdin.

What notmany people knowof Petersen,

is that shewas aballet dance andmimeart-

ist and did a lot of cabaret, films and film

advertisements.

She did that for almost 20 years before

she started her own School of Speech and

Drama in Durbanville and Bellville in

1986, which she still operates.

The shows are at 10:30 and 14:30 each

day. The show is suitable for kids over

three.

Female members of the Kraaifontein police

station took to the streets last Monday to

launch the 16 Days of Activism for no Vio-

lence Against Women and Children.

Dressed-up with bandages and crutches

to bring across their critical message, they

went about the streets to distribute pam-

phlets. The Kraaifontein police have plan-

ned an extensive programme for the dura-

tion of this campaign, hoping to alleviate

this heinous crime from hard hit areas in

town.

Last week, several workshops took place

for women inWallacedene, Bloekombos and

Scottsdene, aimed to empower these women

with information.

On Saturday police had a meeting with

church leaders, and on Monday more door

to door pamphlet distribution took place.

Today and tomorrow victim support vol-

unteers will have an open day at the police

station to support and inform victims.

The 16 Days of Activism against Gender

Violence campaign is a United Nations in-

centive, that takes place annually between

25 November (International Day of No Vio-

lence against Women) and 10 December (In-

ternational Human Rights Day).

The South African government upholds

the campaign but also includes issues relat-

ing to violence against children.

According to the Western Cape govern-

ment, the campaign focuses primarily on

generating an increased awareness of the

negative impact of violence on women and

children, and how it manifests itself within

society.

Furthermore it challenges perpetrators of

these offences to change their behaviour and

to enhance partnerships between govern-

ment, the private sector, civil society, organ-

ised labour, sectoral groups, faith-based or-

ganisations, the media and the diplomatic

community in an effort to spread the mes-

sage.

According toWesternCape premierHelen

Zille: Key to achieving this is for everyone

to take responsibility for knowing their HIV

status and to get tested, she said

According to Zille, 1 042 942 people in the

Western Cape have been voluntarily tested

for the HI-Virus in the past year, of which

103 000 people were on antiretroviral treat-

ment by the end of October.

Fitness was taken to another level when

membersof ZoneFitness gatheredwithbicy-

cles to raise funds for children of the Bright

Star Safe Home at their Spin-a-charity event

on Saturday 24 November.

They started their four-hour mission on

bicycles at 08:00 in ParowCentre. The physi-

cal exertion came with a lot of sweat and

hardship but it was all for a good cause.

I would rather give than receive. We

are doing this for the children, says Rich-

ard Manewil of Zone Fitness.

The Bright Star childrens home in

Kraaifontein caters to 15 children ranging

from six weeks to 14 years old. These chil-

dren are often victims of alcohol and drug

abuse and are left in the care of Pierre

Jooste and his wife, Brenda, by police and

social workers.

He says the home is in dire need of food

and clothes for the children and needs about

R15 000 monthly to care for them.

Savannah Coffee shop in Parow Centre,

who organised the event partnered with

Checkers Hyper and will place a trolley at the

coffee shop for any public donations.

Vicus van der Merwe, sponsor of the safe

home and a few amateur athletes previously

participated in the Cape Town marathon in

September and raised more than R10 500.

kennis waar jy parkeer en wees

op die uitkyk vir verdagte

persone.

Dt is die wreld waarin ons

lewe en niemand wil verant-

woordelikheid neem nie.

On Sunday evening 25 Novem-

ber, Kelly-Jane Hart (23) and

Clyde Lewis (25) of Bothasig

spotted a homeless man abus-

ing a puppy on the N1 City

Bridge. When they tried to

rescue the tiny labrador, the

homeless man proceeded to

strangle her in front of them

so forcefully, she began to

vomit. Luckily the brave young

couple managed to extract the

traumatised puppy from him

and took her home.

Only five weeks old, much

too young to be away from her

mother, little Bella continued to

suffer from severe vomiting and

diarrhoea over the next few

days. Kelly-Jane and Clyde took

her to Bothasig vet, and blood

tests revealed that she had a

virus called

Parvo.

After

staying at

the vet

overnight,

it was

discovered

that Bella

had severe

complica-

tions in

addition to

Parvo that required a blood

transfusion. Even after the

transfusion and round-the-clock

care, she only had a 10 %

chance of survival.

Bella is still weak and on a

drip but doing much better.

Kelly-Jane expects the little pup

to be discharged later this

week.

The couple chose not to use

local animal welfare services as

they would have put Bella

down due to the exorbitant

costs of saving her. As stu-

dents, they are now struggling

to cover vet bills in the region

of R10 000.

The couple is looking for any

donations to help cover Bellas

vet fees.

nics and enjoyed the spirit of Christmas

This year over 1 000 people are expected

to attend.

The Parttime Pirates are coming to Cape Town.

Buckets of rum for scurvy

Johannesburg bands, Part-Time Pirates

andAfterRobot are joining forceswith local

bands when they tour Cape Town this

month.

Pirate-themed rock band Part-Time Pi-

rates draw their inspiration from a variety

of bands, artists and places, ranging from

Alestorm to Fokofpolisiekar, while After

Robot is an experimental alternative rock

band.

The Rum Bucket Tour kicks off on 12 De-

cember at The Jolly Roger with Very Ape

and Someday Rush.

Very Ape will join the bands again on 13

December when they play at Obz Caf, be-

fore the tour moves to The Nameless Pub

on 14 December, also with Very Ape and

Skin and Bone. On 15 December, the Rum

Bucket Tour will be at Rabbit Hole with De

Wallen, No.15 and Kevin Rule.

International rock beauty, Dilana, is in

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa

Dilana left South Africa in her teens to

pursue her musical dream and soon

found herself in Holland where she be-

came one of the countrys most popular

live acts. The journey from Holland to

LA then ensued and Dilana soon found

herself auditioning for Rock Star Su-

pernova where she was the second run-

ner -up in 2006 having received world-

wide support and exposure.

Dilana has performed with rock leg-

ends such as TommyLee andMickMars,

Dave Navarro and Gilby Clarke.

In 2007 she opened for Aerosmith and

Beth Hart. Having had many successful

solos tours throughout North America

and western Europe she is now coming

back to her home ground for the first

time since 2010.

and her first full length album in nine

years.

Playhouse Theatre in Somerset West, but it

was in his matric year that Henri knew he

wanted to be a performer.

He entered the Championship of Perform-

ing Arts and was sent to Los Angeles to rep-

resent South Africa. I got

exposed towhat it can be like

on that scale, he says.

Henri flew home with a

gold medal for drama, silver

for singing his own composi-

tion and was crowned as the

overall world champion for

13- to 19-year-olds.

His trophy was so big, it

had to be dismantled to get it

on the plane. All of a sudden I realised there

was a possibility for me to do something

with music, he says.

After a brief stint in Johannesburg, study-

ing at AFDA, and going to Bible school, Hen-

ri says he finally realised he couldnt ignore

his call to music.

In between, Henri has acted in both Egoli

and 7de Laan, but singing remains his first

love.

His dream is to be in Los Angeles, where

he can strike a balance between acting and

singing, but he points out he isnt interested

is musical theatre.

My vision is quite clear, he says: Its

music and movies, and in that order.

Henri recorded his EP at the beginning of

this year, which shows off three aspects of

hismusic. Theres a ballade, amiddle-of-the-

road rock song and a bit of a heavier rock

song.

He also performswith a live band and says

he would describe his on-stage sound as

bluesy folk rock.

While his EP, available at his shows, gives

a taste of his sound, youd need towatch him

live to see what hes really all about.

Fromperforming inhis parents hotel to rep-

resenting South Africa in the World Cham-

pionships for Performing Arts, Henri Kriel

is a born entertainer.

I think itwas forced onme

by my parents, Henri jokes.

He recalls how he has been

singing since the age of two.

His parents owned a hotel in

the Karoo and with no late

night entertainment; he

would get to entertain the

guests.

They used to call me up to

sing David Kramer and Anton Goosen and

whatever else I could remember, Henri

reminisces.

At school, he was involved with the Fra-

serburg Logan Toneelfees and even spent

time at the Waterfront Theatre School.

He received amateur drama recognition

for his part in Peter Pan in Neverland at the
