Danny Bryant’s Redeye Band
Danny Bryant was born in Hertfordshire England in July
1980. First hailed as a ‘young guitar prodigy’ he began
playing guitar aged 15, turning professional just three
years later, and in the last decade has paid his dues
clocking up endless miles of travelling and
approximately two thousand shows in many countries
around the world.
After a decade of hard toil he now gets the recognition
he so well deserves, being acknowledged by those in
the business as one of the cream of the crop of this
generation of blues artists. In a career that has seen
Danny perform on the same bill as such names as Joe
Cocker, Carlos Santana, Greg Allman, Buddy Guy and
Peter Green to mention just a few, Danny and his band
have steadily carved a huge and loyal fan base around
the world.
“…his most mature performance yet. The firestorm of
guitar is carefully contoured from wistful to
impassioned” - Mojo Magazine
“Solid blues-rock & has tones greasier than a KFC
bucket” – Guitarist Magazine
“Surely his best album to date” - Guitar Techniques
Magazine

The Dragons Daughter
Blunderbus Theatre Company
Blunderbus Theatre Company are proud to present
The Dragon’s Daughter, a magical tale of adventure
and friendship written for 4 - 7 year olds that will
appeal to the child within everyone!
Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a
tiny village nestled in the shadow of a great
mountain. Perched at the top of the mountain, lived
a fire-breathing dragon. In the village below, a lonely
little boy called Hans spent his days imagining the
most fantastic adventures. He would pretend to fight
scary monsters, search for sunken treasure, and
slay fairytale dragons.
Then one starry night, a tiny ball of light fell from the
sky, crashing to the ground with a silent thud, and
there, lost in the darkness, was a real-life baby
dragon.
Now began the adventure of a lifetime; could Hans
return his newfound friend to her mother before it
was too late, or would Dotty the baby dragon perish
in the darkness?
With bewitching music and beautiful hand-carved
puppets this is a funny and moving story about a
brave little boy and a scared little dragon that grow
to become the very best of friends.

Useful Donkey Theatre Company presents…
Rupert Brooke
Mark Payton's inspired and meticulous play is the story of the
Brooke beyond the myth of a young, beautiful, fallen warrior. It is
the story of a far more complex and radical man. Following the
llegendary 'war' poet from his time at Cambridge to his death in the
Aegean Sea, Rupert Brooke reveals a man with a tumultuous
personal life, a man not afraid to shock his audience, and a man
vulnerably reaching to be 'forever England'.
"An excellent one-man show... we were enraptured by Race's
rendering of the life and work." Charles Moore - The Spectator
"We come away with a strong impression of an era, and of a
glimpse into a complex, multi-layered individual...it is to be hoped
that this compact and compelling play is revived at regular
intervals."- David Earl for the Rupert Brooke Society

Lunchtime Literature
Dr Jane Mackay
Arthur Conan Doyle 'The Hound of the Baskervilles'.
The most famous dog in literature! Doyle had killed off Sherlock
Holmes ten years before at the Reichenbach Falls, but had to bring
him back to life due to public pressure. This novel-length Holmes
story is the definitive piece of detective fiction, in which atmospheric
Dartmoor is almost a character. Holmes delicately pushes back the
seeming 'supernatural' Gothic elements to unravel the truth
beneath.
Dr. Jane Mackay has spent a lifetime in pursuit of her passion for
great literature. A graduate of three universities, she is the founder
of 'Literature Live'. Join her for a fascinating examination of 'The
Hound of the Baskervilles' by Arthur Conan Doyle.
Please note that you do not need to have read the set book to enjoy
Lunchtime Literature.

cheek story all of its own! Following the exploits of ‘Metal’, ‘Grunge’,

Stadium! Great Music, and mildly adult panto-comedy rolled in to
one hit filled show make this another stonkingly awesome night out!

Rumpus Theatre presents…
Wilkie Collins’ – The Dead Hand
A new play by David Gilbrook
A gorgeously Gothic tale of horror, lust and black
magic from the author of ‘The Woman in White’.
The year is 1850; Young, easy-going Arthur Holliday
has come to Doncaster for the races, but all the hotel
rooms are full ... ... all that is, except for one remaining
twin room that he’ll have to share with a stranger. It’s
not until he’s agreed to take the room that he discovers
his roommate is recently deceased. Even then, all
might be well ... if it wasn’t for the dead hand ...
Rumpus’s production of Edgar Allen Poe’s ‘The Horrific
Case of Mr Valdemar’ last autumn was “excellent ... an
enthralling and enticing show, with great performances
... the tension created can be cut with a razor blade”
(Northumberland Gazette) while ‘Dracular’s Guest’ in
2008 had “a brilliant final-scene twist that left the
audience gasping” (Derbyshire Times).
Rumpus favourites David Martin and Amanda Howard
(who appeared in the gripping TV series Band of Gold)
join up with Nicholas Gilbrook in this thrilling
concoction of horror, lust and black magic.
Sit back, relax and be scared in the chillingly safe
hands of Rumpus Theatre Company...
