art academy for childrenChildren’s Art Academy is an innovative course for children who love art and show a deep interest in exploring the creative process. The Academy o!ers sequential art classes designed to deepen a child’s appreciation of art, develop creative and critical thinking, strengthen art-making skills and cultivate personal expression. This term’s theme is modern art. Youth will study Dada to Abstract Expressionism.

Art Academy for ChildrenAges 5-13, 6-8 and 9-13This 16-week in-depth sequential art class is for those students who would like to develop basic and intermediate skills in many mediums of art-making. From drawing to painting and from sculpture to pottery, students will build their art literacy by applying the elements and principles of design. This course will guide students through art history, projects, critiques and portfolio creation. to delight. From princess jewelry to safari animal masks to clay ocean creatures, a skilled instructor will provide all the art materials and

an hour of guidance so every child in your group can make and take a 2-D or 3-D work of art fueled by his or her imagination. The second

hour of the party is devoted to celebrating the guest of honor so bring in the cake, the party

favors, the presents! And at party’s end, Art Station staff will clean up all the art project supplies…call it our gift to you!

Sometimes we get registration requests after a class has already been cancelled due to low enrollment. Our team of over 30 professional visual, "ne, craft and performing artists work with students and teachers to deliver extended educational arts activities, teach new skills and develop creative thinking. vango: by the numbersVanGo has logged thousands of miles on the roads of Central Oregon since June 2006, and we’re celebrating its success serving a wide audience of students and adults! On the outside, VanGo is a colorfully decorated Honda Element. Inside, it is a mobile art studio complete with supplies and an art instructor ready to help students and families in small, rural towns experience the bene"ts of high quality arts education.
