I thought of the long }ourney. Would I be able to carry a heavy load on my back? I feared I was going to die on the way. I begged him to allow me to see a vet but he refused.

He took a whip and hit me several times. I wish I had not opened my mouth. With the help of his son, they loaded four sacks of maize on my back. The wight was too much for me. He told his son to take charge of me. He was so excited .. He kept on whipping me just like his father.

After some time, the boy took a bottle of water and he drank it as he walked along. I was so thirsty and I wished he could give me a drink but when I looked at him he whipped me mercilessly forcing me to move on. He raised the water and drank it all.
