Virtua A new feature this year is SePAStarSearch. This new dimension of TRENDS is uniquely designed to develop and advance aspiring nurse speakers. Before the upcoming fall conference, a SePA Star Search call for abstracts will be solicited and the submission will be blinded and peer reviewed by the TRENDS planning committee. Six abstracts will be chosen and the authors will be invited to attend and participate during an optional lunchtime session at this years TRENDS conference held on Friday, October 9th from 12:15 PM to 1:30 PM. Registration costs will be incurred by the participants.

Each of the six participants will have just 10 minutes to present their topic as they are judged by members of the TRENDS planning committee. Immediately following the last presenter, the rubrics will be tallied and the top two to three highestscoredpresentationswillbedeclaredthewinners!These lucky nurses will receive:

An experienced clinician, administrator, and educator, Rundio is the former Vice President of Nursing at Shore Memorial Hospital (now Shore Medical Center), Somers Point, New Jersey. An avid and active regional faculty member of the American Heart Association, Rundio has served as Vice Chair of the Emergency Cardiovascular Care Committee, New Jersey Region and the immediate past National ACLS Faculty Representative, New Jersey Region. He served as President of the International Nurses Society on Addictions (IntNSA) in 2012/2013 and currently practices part-time in a chemical dependency treatment center in southern New Jersey.

across the population served by Virtua. Tracy coordinates nursing strategy and goals to reach organizational success to deliver out-standing customer experience and excellent quality. This includes partnering with physician leadership and other senior leaders to ensure system-wide intra-professional teamwork. As CNO, Tracy has formalized the Magnet journey objectives for the organization and under her leadership established nursing research resources for the organization. Charles Kunkle is the Director of Emergency and Critical Care Services at

St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. He has over 20 years experience as a nurse and has held multiple positions in emergency medicine, pre-hospital emergency medical services, cardiothoracic intensive care units and honed his skills over theyearspracticingasaflightnurse.Kunkleis a motivational speaker who captivates the audience discussing topics such as violence in healthcare, leadership, patient satisfaction, employee engagement and patient centered care. Kunkles varied experiences in healthcare has enhanced his understanding of the Affordable Care Act. As it takes effect, nurses are left wondering how it will impact their care.
