Track Day Tools Track days are a very popular past time in England and we were certain that this service could come over the water and appeal to the folk of Northern Ireland. In less than two years, we have customers from all over Northern Ireland, ROI, UK, USA and Canada. There is a huge interest from English bike clubs who love the idea of coming over to visit Northern Ireland as tourists and participating in a track day. Being able to hire a bike for the day can provide the participant with an opportunity to try a different size bike, learn new skills and compete against the stop watch. What is a track day? A track day is a fun experience that provides you with a safer alternative to riding on the roads. Track Days are professionally organised days when you can hire a bike from TrackDayTools.com and ride one of our bikes in a controlled environment without road hazards. As your riding skills improve you will experience the full performance capabilities of your chosen motorbike. “After hiring one of the TrackDay Tools motorbikes I had one of the best days yet! The team are professional and full of good advice. The bikes are great; I chose a 400cc and had the time of my life. I would highly recommend it” Sponsorship We were over the moon when Darren Burns agreed to ride our bikes this year; he had seen the effort and time we spent to make reliable machinery, he also liked the idea of mentoring Wayne Hamilton in his first year on the Road Racing scene. To have a name as big as Darren Burns ride our bikes this year is a great honour for us and a great incentive to Wayne. Darren Burns Darren Burns name has been synonymous in the road racing scene for many years. With past achievements such as four times Irish 250 Road Race Champion and three times podium finisher at the NW and 2003 winner of the 250cc Manx grand prix it is no surprise that he has a strong following and is ranked highly. After last year’s accident at the NW200, Darren has made steady recovery from his injuries and is now rearing to go on the Track Day Tools machinery. “It’s been a tough year, but my fitness is getting back to levels I’m happy with and I’m feeling confident about going back to racing”. Darren’s wife Amanda agrees, “Racing’s in his blood, I knew he would go back to it. We’re all here to support him and it’s great to see him fired up. It’s going to be a good year.” Wayne Hamilton Wayne certainly caught the attention of people on the short circuit scene last year. With excellent podium finishes at Mondello, Dublin and at Scarborough, the sky’s the limit for this young racer. This year will be Wayne’s first year on the Road Racing scene. “I hope to build on last year’s experiences and learn as much as I can from Darren. The bikes are in great nick and I can’t wait for the season to begin”. Working 9-5, studying, training and working on the 250cc engine in his spare time doesn’t leave much time for socialising but Wayne is keen to excel in his favourite sport. “I don’t mind putting the hours in at home, in the workshop because I know I’ll benefit in the long run. The race I’m most looking forward to is the Scarborough Gold cup later this summer as I’ve had previous good results at it. Tyler Hamilton Despite being out of action at the moment with his leg in plaster (not motorbike related), Tyler has hopes to follow in his big brothers footsteps and compete in the 125cc class in the Clubmans rounds. “I’m really enjoying the Clubman’s short circuit racing and everyone is friendly; it’s great that I’m getting the opportunity to have a go and I’m looking forward to the up- coming races. Track Day Tools would like to wish all participants at the Tangragee100 the best of luck on this special anniversary year.
