Focused initiative for international TEVT

students

• International Technical Education and Vocational Training

Programme in Malaysia (INVITE) is a government

initiative designed specifically for international

students.

• Developed with the aim of producing graduates with

comprehensive skills and knowledge in technical and

vocational disciplines to become skilled employees or

entrepreneurs.

• Established industry linkages with reputable partners

from various industry sectors such as Carrefour, Mercedes-

Benz, Nissan, Panasonic, Tesco, Toyota, AMD and Infineon.

Structured Internship Programme as a stepping

stone to an effective PPP

Introduce students to the working world as early as possible

Provide practical experience and emphasise development ofspecific knowledge or skills

Prepare graduates to become relevant to industries andthus, increase employability

Encourage companies to make internship programmes morestructured in terms of competency developmentO

SA collaborative effort to encourage a meaningful internship

experience relevant to industries

A company that hires interns is eligible for double tax

deduction for all related expenses incurred on the interns

The programme shall cover a minimum of ten (10) weeks.

Participating companies shall provide each intern with a

minimum of cash, or/and cash equivalent of RM500

monthly allowance
