Useababydollandtheappropriateaccessoriestoembedtheconceptofwhatababyis.Forexample,putanappy,babygrow,biborhatonthedoll,orgiveitabottle.Offeryourpupilsthechancetodress,holdandpretendtofeedthebaby.Youcanalsousethistoreinforcetheskillofturn-taking.

Collectababyphotographfromeachofyourpupils.Allowthemtolookatandselecttherecordingsheetthat appeals to them the mostfromResource1.Fixtheir photographs onto theworksheetandfillintheir name and the date of birth.Discussthesimilaritiesanddifferencesbetweentheirphotographs.

Listentopre-recordedsoundsofbabies(forexamplebabbling,gurglingandcrying).Downloadthesesoundeffectsfrom www.sounddogs.com and www.soundscalpel.com (enterthenameofthesoundyouaresearchingforandclickon‘Go’or‘Search’).
