Compacting Principle
The compaction section utilize

o rolls and one heated shoe to pre
sent
the fabric into the compaction zone. A
feed roll overfeeds fabric while
the slower re
tard
roll holds th
e fabric in the compaction zone. B
y
decre
asing the retard
roll speeds, the m
achine opera
tor can reduce
the
length
shrinkage and incre
ase
compaction up to 25%.
