Good Afternoon Parents/Guardians,
I trust you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hope you were able to spend some time
with your families and make life-long memories. Thank you to our community that
came out and participated in our first annual Ugly Sweater Run. We had over 200
runners! It was a fun day. The Alumni Turkey Bowl game was also a lot of fun to watch.
Thank you to all MHS Alumni who played and came out to watch the game. I hope you

It was an exciting Thanksgiving break with a lot of sports going on. We are thankful for our athletes,
coaches, and Tiger Pride families who invested in the Culture, Commitment and Competitiveness
philosophy by being at there this long holiday weekend. We appreciate your time and contribution into
growing Tiger Pride Athletics programs.
Our Lady Tigers did extremely well in their tournaments. The Lady Basketball players took 2nd place in
the Mt. View Shoot Out tournament and the Lady Soccer players took 2nd in the Panther tournament. Both
teams will be facing the same opponents who they fell short to in the tournament final on Friday.
The Men’s soccer team accomplished several wins in the Panther tournament and have shown
tremendous growth in their commitment and competitiveness. They earned 2nd place in the consolation
bracket which was an outstanding final game to watch. These Tigers have a new fire inside that can be
seen in their play on their field. Men’s basketball played with great gains and growth as a team in the
Safeway Tournament. These Tigers are ready for change and are moving forward to improve their
competitiveness this season.
Wrestling did well in their first official division match at Flowing Wells last Wednesday. The Wrestling
Tiger Style team young but is working diligently to get the time need on the mat. The young Tiger are
fierce and hungry, looking toward qualifying for State with each meet.
We would appreciate all of your support for all of our winter programs. We know it is cold but would love
to see you in the stand in at the Tiger Pride stadium and gym. Tiger Pride is infectious…….and our student
athletes love to show you and will impress you!
Honored to be the AD,
Monika Montiel Turner
