Preamble: The three days online short term course on “Online Tools & Software for Remote Teaching-Learning” is being conducted by UGC-HRDC, JNTUH, Hyderabad, to the Faculty members of Science, Engineering & Technology, Management and Pharmacy.
About UGC-HRDC, JNTUH: The UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (formerly known as UGC-Academic Staff College), Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, was established in the year 2000 and sponsored by University Grants Commission, New Delhi. The UGC-Human Resource Development Centre organizes Orientation Programmes, Refresher Courses, Short Term Courses and Workshops on thrust areas for in-service teachers and also for newly appointed teaching faculty on a regular basis, to update the knowledge and skills in their respective fields.
About the Course: The online short term course is mainly aimed to explore the knowledge on various online Tools, Open Source Software, Open Educational Resources and other digital tools for creating active learning environment. The participants will learn the classroom management strategies through Technology Enabled Teaching. The faculty members will be enabled to adapt online assessment strategies in teaching and also learn the Learning Management System (LMS).
OERs are teaching, learning and research resources that reside in the public domain or have been released under an intellectual property license that permits their free use and repurposing by others. Open education resources include full courses, course materials, modules, textbooks, streaming videos, tests, software, and any other tools, materials, or techniques used to support access to knowledge. Major Course Contents:

Open Educational Resources and Online Tools for Teaching and Learning
E-Content and Video Content Development using Open Source Software
Tools and Resources for Creating Learning Assessment
LMS for Video Based Learning
Eligibility:
The online course is open to the faculty members of Engineering, Pharmacy, Management and
Degree Colleges, all over India.
Registration Fee Particulars: The Registration fee for the course is Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) to be paid through online payment mode. Certificate will be issued to the participants on successful completion of the course.
How to apply: The faculty members desirous to participate in the program are requested to register their details in online mode

Selection Criteria: Selection will be done based on first-come-first-serve basis to a maximum number of 60. The list of selected participants will be intimated through E-mail. Important Dates:

Course duration : 16th
– 18th
May, 2020 Course timings : 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM
Instructions to the Participants for Online Course:
(1) Filling the registration form is mandatory. (2) Attendance is mandatory for all sessions. (3) All sessions will be conducted on Zoom/GoToMeeting. (4) Link will be provided a day in advance in the delegate login page of the HRDC Portal. (5) Limited seats are available on First-Come-First-Serve Basis.
