Mark Parsley Coming July 21st
Mark Parsley will be coming in view of a call Sunday, July
21, for the position of Contemporary Worship Leader and
Audio/Technical Director. Mark will lead worship in the
early service and give his testimony in both services. Our
church family will vote on Mark in both services.
Mark has been part of the First Baptist family since coming to ASU in 2008. He graduated
in 2011 with a BS in Radio and Television. Since graduation he has served as the Assistant
Director of the BCM. It was during this time he would meet and marry his wife Leah, both
of whom have been very involved in FBC.
Mark has served in many capacities at First Baptist: teaching and ministering at Huntington
Mission Church, a leader in the university ministry, being the Interim University Minister
and leading worship for our contemporary service.
There is so much more to say about Mark and I know you will be praying for him and our
church family as he comes this Sunday, July 21.

Cody’s Campus Can You Write a Note?
This summer we are writing postcards to incoming freshmen at ASU. The BCM has
been a great help in getting the list of religious preference students. We have taken
this list and divided it up in a way that our church can reach out. When you get a pack-
et, take some time to pray for those students individually. Then as you write, make
sure they know we would love to see them this fall! My hope is that this year we will
see students join our church because they experienced your love before they ever
arrived in Jonesboro. If you would like to help write postcards, please contact Cody
Albritton or stop by the church office to pick up a pack of postcards.

Pacific Coast Justice Series, #1

Detective Carly Edwards hates working in
juvenile - where the brass put her after an officer
involved shooting - and longs to be back on
patrol. So when a troubled youth, Londy Atkins,
is arrested for the murder of the mayor and Car-
ly is summoned to the crime scene, she's eager for
some action. Carly presses Londy for a confes-
sion but he swears his innocence, and despite
her better judgment, Carly is inclined to believe
him. Yet homicide is convinced of his guilt and is
determined to convict him.
