#WissWantsToKnow

Each week, we ask our #WissNation families to answer a question or two on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This week, we enjoyed seeing their adorable pets and learning how they got their name!

accepting headband donations for #heroheadbands. DeHaan sews buttons on the headband that the elastic band attaches to rather than behind the ears. DeHaan then sends the headbands to nurses at hospitals around the country.

Olivia immediately realized she could help. Throughout high school she had a business - @BandItUp Boutique - where she made and sold headbands that were the same style. Olivia reached out to DeHaan who said she would love to have 30 headbands sent to her, so Olivia started making them. “As a senior at WHS, I felt like I was capable of making a difference. Once I started, I couldn’t

stop and I ended up sewing 101 headbands to send in order to help nurses around the country. Although my back may hurt for a few days, it’s incomparable to that of healthcare workers and I’m just glad that I could help and make this time a little easier for people who are caring for the patients every day,” Olivia said.

Noah (2nd grade, LGE) & his family found a farm that supplies eggs to schools for hatching projects. Since the schools are closed, they had dozens of egg kits for families to hatch the eggs at home. Last week, Noah’s family had 12 chicks hatch!

NEAT ACTIVITY!

SEAN, SGE, AND HIS DOG LEIA: We’re Star Wars fans!!

CHASE, WMS: This is my leopard gecko, Lucky. My twin brother Max named him.

AMY CAPOFERRI SHAFFER: We have so, so many animals here! This is one of our dogs, a popcorn lover named Diohji. He is named that because that's how it sounds when you say the letters that spell D O G.

KRYSTLE HICKEY: Gritty the kitty!

CHRISTI SWANSON WALSH: Wookie - obviously he looks like one! LOL!

ANNIE MARIE: Zazzles (the long haired one) from Big Bang Theory and Draco Meowfoy (the tuxedo).

MACKENZIE, SGE: I named my dog Jackson because it was the first name to come to mind when I saw him.
