week. Enjoy the Winter Break week with your family.

couple, stop by our Young Adult ABF that meets each Sunday at 10:15am in the Chapel. For further information go to www.facebook.com/ya.ministry.

grow with others in the early stages of family life, then join us at 10:15am hour in West Fellowship Hall, For further information, go to: www.facebook.com/yfamilies.ministry.

Pray for the Jamaica Missions Team this week as 21 students from the

Crash, our High School Ministry, and 7 staff/volunteer leaders take this Winter Break week to work alongside the Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf boarding school and the New Hope Children’s home doing work projects and spending time with students.

New Connection. The 2014 February/March edition of the HPBC newsletter is

available in the Atrium Foyer. This issue is also available on our church website.

Men’s Saturday Morning Prayer will not be meeting this month as

scheduled in order to attend the Interactive Evangelism Workshop this coming Saturday morning in Fellowship Hall.

Global Intercessor. This monthly missionary prayer guide has been recently

updated, effective February 17 – March 23, 2014 and is available today at the Welcome Center.

Pray for Joe & Nancy King, though retired from GEM a few years ago, they

pastor and lead the Bible Christian Church in Ellicott, Colorado. Pray for this small church of 25 in a depressed socio-economic area, where the potential for growth is there, but workers are few. Pray for a couple to head up their youth work, and for creative opportunities to reach the community. Pray for the perseverance of the core group in the church. Encourage the Kings at [email protected].

Pray for Scott & Hanne Larsen as they serve with Straight Ahead

Ministries in Massachusetts. Pray for wisdom this month as they seek the Lord in developing a plan to reach every juvenile jail in the U.S. over the next decade. Pray for key partnerships (YFC and others) and the right staffing to help make this vision a reality.

Ministry

There is a strange beauty in weakness.

Our weakness reminds us of His all sufficient strength. It provides an avenue for the display of His grace. It settles us dependently before our Father. It reminds us of how well He loves. It turns our eyes to Him.

You are our help, O Lord, do not delay.

Financial Peace University

HPBC is pleased to host this flagship course featuring nationally recognized Christian financial expert, Dave Ramsey. Through video teaching, class discussions, and interactive small group activities, FPU presents Biblical, practical steps on the basics of budgeting, dumping debt, and planning for the future. This is a great way to introduce invited friends to Biblical financial principles.

FPU will meet for nine weeks, beginning Wednesday, February 26 at 7:00pm in South Atrium. Registration is required in order to receive materials in time for this first class.

If you are a previous graduate of FPU, there is no cost to register and you may order a new workbook and other materials for a discounted rate.

Still not sure? Come to the table in the Atrium Foyer to get a ticket allowing you to attend the first lesson for free. This ticket can also be used to invite a friend who may be hesitant about committing right away.

Get Involved

Welcome Guests. It is always a privilege to have visitors with us for Sunday

morning worship. Please take a moment to complete a Communication Card located near your seat, and place in the drop box as you exit the service today. Further ministry information is available at the Welcome Center, or on our church website.

Women’s Spring Retreat March 14 – 15, 2014

Our deadline for registration was this past Friday, February 14, and we are almost at capacity. We are thankful for the excellent response for this much anticipated Spring Retreat opportunity.

We do have a few spaces available for late registrants, and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Please stop by the Women’s Ministry table this morning,

or email Faye regarding availability at [email protected].

Prayer & Counsel

After each Worship Service there is an elder and his wife at the left front of the worship center to talk and pray with anyone who

would find it helpful.
