THANK YOU to those who have made a gift to the 2019 Together as One Campaign. As of November 4, 351 parishioners have participated in the appeal at our parish, totaling $38,669.00 in gifts and pledges. This campaign helps support diocesan programs such as the Rekindle Youth Rally, Deacon Formation, Men’s & Women’s Conferences, and many other programs throughout the year. If you have not yet made a donation, it’s not too late. WANTED: VOLUNTEER EUCHARISTIC MINISTER: One Eucharistic Minister is needed at St. Anthony Nursing Home on Thursdays at 9:30am. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS: On Monday, Nov. 11th
a Mass will be celebrated in memory of the Knights of
Columbus members who have passed away in the last year.
Mass will be at 7pm at Holy Spirit Church. All are invited
to participate. A light meal will be held after Mass in the
Greteman Center.
ST. JOHN PAUL II PARISH will be hosting a
Food Drive the weekend of November 23 & 24.
Bins will be located at the church entrances.
As the holidays are fast approaching, many families
are in need of basic necessities. Any donations are
greatly appreciated, but items in need include:
canned soups, canned fruit, canned vegetables,
pancake mix & syrup, cereal, pasta sides, rice sides,
ketchup, tuna / hamburger helper, pudding, jello,
jelly and jams, sloppy joe mix, boxed potatoes,
toilet paper, laundry soap, body soap, and
toothpaste. Thank you for your contributions!

THANKSGIVING OUTREACH MEAL: Plans are being made to prepare and deliver Thanksgiving meals for those who do not have family or relatives to share the blessings of the day. Food will be prepared the day before Thanksgiving, and the morning of, at the Greteman Center. Volunteers will deliver meals at approximately 11:00am Thanksgiving Day. Sign-up sheets are available in the church entrances for those who wish to help prepare food (bake a turkey, bake a pie, etc.), or help the day before, or the day of the meal with preparation or delivery of meals. Also, if you know of someone who may like a meal delivered to them that day, please call the parish office at 792-9244 by Tuesday, November 26th. Please contact the parish office if you have any questions. Since beginning our outreach meal in 2015, we have averaged 95-100 meals delivered each year. Your help and kindness are truly appreciated!

Pastoral Minister/Minister of Care Position: We are grateful to Shirley Molitor who has served parishioners in this position for more than ten years. She has done a fantastic job of ministering with compassion to those in need. Shirley will be retiring at the end of this year, and we wish her all the best in her retirement!
We are now seeking to fill this position for St. John Paul II parish beginning in January 2020. The person in this position will coordinate and extend pastoral care to parishioners who are shut-ins, in nursing homes / care facilities, or who have experienced illness, hospitalization, and or grief/bereavement. This paid position is approximately 20 hours per week, and is flexible. Please contact the parish office (792-9244) for a full job description if you are interested.
