THE ENCOUNTERA Special Time of Adoration & Prayer
Saturday, November 247:30 to 9:00 PM in the Main Church
Please be mindful when parking around the church that we want to love our neighbors and serve them well, so we ask you not to park in front of the driveways of homes near the church. Vehicles that are blocking driveways will be towed.
The Gospel predicts end times; our challenge, though, is to live faithfully now. When we live in conformity to the Word, hearing Jesus’ words and living them out, the future holds no fear for us. As you give your gift to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, know that you are hearing the words of Jesus and living them out. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul will have their next meeting on Tuesday, November 27 at 5:30 PM in the Cathedral lower level. They are still collecting Dan's SuperMarket receipts for the Direct Your Dollars program, so please drop your entire, original receipts in the collection basket or in the SVDP container in the main entrance.

New Cathedral Rectory at 415 Raymond StreetCompletion Date: Spring 2019
Cathedral of the Holy Spirit Rectory - 415 Raymond StreetA corporate resolution was approved in September 2018 to construct a new rectory to be located at 415 Raymond Street. The project will include all construction costs including, but not limited to, architect fees, general construction, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, landscaping, and furnishings. Expected cost is up to $1,200,000.00. This will be funded with money in the Cathedral Expansion Fund (approximately $635,000.00) and a loan secured through the Parish Expansion Fund at an interest rate of 2.99%. Construction costs are estimated to be $992,000.00, which does not include furniture, household supplies, landscaping, and security system. Nothing will be taken from the current rectory, as it is being transferred with its contents. Efforts have been made to have the exterior of the rectory blend in with the Cathedral District neighborhood, which increased the cost.

Upon completion of the new rectory, the property title of 308 West Avenue B (our current rectory) will be signed over to the Diocese of Bismarck, and the property title of 415 Raymond Street will be signed over to Cathedral of Holy Spirit.
If you would like to see a detailed floor plan of the new rectory, please stop at the Cathedral parish office or go to www.cathedralparish.com. We are currently planning the complete renovation of our office space which has been a need for the parish for some time, with work to begin in May 2019. If you would like to donate toward the rectory building project or office renovation, simply put your contribution in an envelope marked “Rectory” or “Office” and place it in the collection basket at Mass.
