Players of all ages are improving their rugby skills and enjoying successful games, festivals and tours. Proud supporters line the edge of the fields adding great support and energy. What we know for sure is that the spirit of Mighty Chobham begins with our brilliant army of Chobham volunteers. Directing traffic, raising money, accounts, arranging fixtures, preparing grounds, clubhouse maintenance, catering, coaching, refereeing, first aid, putting up tents and packing them away, manning stalls, filling in forms, opening the shop....the list is endless! That's someone's Mum, Dad or family helping to make Chobham Rugby a great experience for all members and players. Club President Nigel Heslop comments, "Our heartfelt thanks to each and every volunteer, you are all valued and your efforts are appreciated. We encourage everyone to get involved, many hands make light work and as we grow in scale and success, it is our volunteers who will shape the future and will help us to achieve our vision of community rugby at its best." THERE'S A SPRING IN OUR STEP AT CHOBHAM RUGBY

As the first buds of Spring appear there's so much to celebrate and be proud of, both on and off the

rugby field. Players of all ages are improving their rugby skills and enjoying successful games, festivals

and tours. Proud supporters line the edge of the fields adding great support and energy.

What we know for sure is that the spirit of Mighty Chobham begins with our brilliant army of Chobham

volunteers. Directing traffic, raising money, accounts, arranging fixtures, preparing grounds, clubhouse

maintenance, catering, coaching, refereeing, first aid, putting up tents and packing them away, manning

stalls, filling in forms, opening the shop....the list is endless! That's someone's Mum, Dad or family helping

to make Chobham Rugby a great experience for all members and players.

Club President Nigel Heslop comments, "Our heartfelt thanks to each and every volunteer, you are all

valued and your efforts are appreciated. We encourage everyone to get involved, many hands make light

work and as we grow in scale and success, it is our volunteers who will shape the future and will help us

to achieve our vision of community rugby at its best."

We are as ever sincerely appreciative of all of our sponsors and wish everyone a very happy Easter. Go

Mighty Chobham!

We are currently looking for volunteers to help manage the Club Shop. You will help to keep the shop

stocked with all the kit required by the Club - ordering and managing supplies as well as conducting

regular stock takes. In addition help is needed to run the shop, opening the shop to sell to members and

collecting payments. We all use and enjoy the convenience of a shop on site so please consider if you can

help in any way - if you would like to help please contact Carol Wickes

CHOBHAM 1st XV CHASING VICTORY IN LONDON 1 SOUTH Chobham 1st XV delivered another great performance on Saturday 28th winning 31-7 against Charlton

Park. Nigel Guy Director of Rugby summarised the mood by saying "Another fantastic day in the life of

Chobham Rugby Club. Thanks to all our players for delivering a great afternoon's rugby and particularly

the 1st XV who's bonus point win keeps us in 2nd place and right in the National Leagues promotion

hunt".

These are exciting times for all of us, Nigel adds, "We’ve two massive games left in this defining period as

we strive for National League rugby and we look forward to our magnificent touchline continuing to

provide fantastic support for us. The players are hugely appreciative of your encouragement and lets hope

you can cheer us onto victory as our 16th man."

COMMUNITY RUGBY AT ITS BEST

2014/15 has been a very successful year so far for Chobham Rugby outreach. Liam Cranford reports that

we have already had around 1200 children take part during the school day through our taster sessions or

PPA cover and roughly 200 children have enjoyed our afterschool tag rugby clubs, 2 great half term rugby

camps. More than 300 plus children took part in our annual tag festival! We also continue to provide

support to the local secondary schools and Woking College. With the Rugby World Cup edging closer it’s

important that we continue to spread the good word of Chobham and help support the growth of the

rugby in the community. As always this could not have been made possible if it wasn’t for our

tremendous, hardworking community manager Liam Cranford and coaches – Ollie Smith, Callum Edwards,

Sam King and Sam Crook.
