Your pool and the "West Nile andZika Viruses"

Swimming pools, both in ground& aboveground are a great sourceof clean, clear summer fun &family enjoyment. However, good, continuous care must begiven to properly treat the waterwhen the pool is not being used. For health reasons, the pool mustbe properly sanitized & balanced(pH, Total Alkalinity, WaterHardness). The filter system mustoperate daily to clean the water.

What has all of this got to do withthe "West Nile and Zika viruses?"Lots. A swimming pool that is leftto stagnate & turn green withalgae or other "undesirableconditions" will be a tremendousbreeding ground for mosquitoes &other insect pests. Mosquitoes flyin, lay their eggs & go.A pool that is not properlymaintained will allow this tohappen. Mosquitoes must havewater to breed so make sure thereis no standing water in the yard.Actually, it only takes a week forstanding water to become abreeding ground for mosquitoes.

Preventative Measures1. Run the pool filter daily about12 hr. as a minimum. This willprevent stagnation.2. Maintain the pool's Sanitizer inthe recommended range.3. Regularly clean, vacuum &brush the pool walls & surfaces toremove any type of bio-film thatwill attract mosquitoes.4. Add an initial dosage of a goodquality quaternary algaecide (suchas BioGuard® Back Up).Algaecides such as Back Up® not

only prevent algae; they also workas a surfactant in the pool water.5. If the pool is to be covered, make sure the cover is completelydrained of excess water. Observethe warnings issued by the localhealth authorities regardingstanding, stagnant water.6. Delay winterizing the pool untilmid-October when we've had ourfirst freeze and mosquitoes havebeen killed.7. Delay winterizing to preventbuildup of standing water on thepool cover.8. Covered pools must be keptcompletely free of leaves & otherdebris. Debris & water left on thecover will decay over timeproviding a breeding area formosquitoes & other insect pests.9. Make sure floats, equipment andpool toys are stored so they will notcollect water.10. When backwashing makes surethe water does not collect or puddlein the yard.11. Check planting pots to makesure they are not holding water.

Swimming pools are a great centerfor family health & fun. In times ofdrought, they can also be a goodsource of clean potable water. Let'skeep them clean & sanitary! Poolproducts are intended forswimming pool use only. Do notuse any swimming pool or spaproduct as a larvaecide or treatmentof water outside of the pool or spa.It is a violation of federal law touse a registered productinconsistent with its labelingdirections. All pools are to bedrained into the sanitary sewer.

no good and the Panthers led early,6-0.

Howe's first possession started attheir own 29 yard line and theoffense moved quickly taking 2:51off the clock on six plays andscored on a 1-yard Tyler Grishamplunge. Howe took their first lead,7-6, of the night with BriceHonaker's PAT.

Van Alstyne traveled 68 yards ontheir next possession and scored ona 13-yard touchdown by LeviJones, who came in with 853yards, the sixth most rushing yardsin the area. The drive took 2:29off of the clock. Jones also ran inthe 2-point conversion and VanAlstyne led Howe 14-7 with 2:21left in the first.

Howe's second possession of thenight was a typical Bulldogs styleof three yards and a could of dust,er, rubber pellets in this turf case.Howe held the ball for 13 playsand went 87 yards, taking theremaining 2:21 of the first quarterand the first 3:54 of the secondquarter. Jaden Matthews crossedthe goal line from the 2 yard lineand Honaker's PAT tied the gameat 14.

Howe got a great Silver Spike gifton the first play of the Panther'snext drive as Jones coughed it upand Tanner Hartsfield recoveredthe fumble that gave Howe the ballat the Van Alstyne 36 yard line.Five plays later, Howe quarterbackBrandon Wall scampered up the

middle for 16 yards and atouchdown. Howe took the lead,21-14 after Honaker's PAT with6:05 left in the second quarter.

The Panthers answered right backwith a 3:02 drive that went 6 playsand 65 yards. Another hookup ofProctor to Wilson for 14 yards didthe trick for Van Alstyne. Butagain Taylor missed a PATattempt and Howe retained the onepoint lead, 21-20 with 3:03 leftbefore half.

The Bulldogs tried to take theremaining 3:03 off of the clockand score, but came up empty aftera 9-play drive ended in Wall's firstinterception of the night on a last-second attempt at points before thehalf. Howe Head Coach ZackHudson opted to not try a 48-yardfield goal with one second leftwitih arguably the best kicker inschool history, instead throwingthe ball which ended in theturnover. Howe held the slimmestof leads at 21-20 heading into thehalftime locker room.

Since the Panthers started thegame with the ball, Howe had agolden opportunity to extend thelead and obtain some breathingroom as they started with the ballto being the second half. Howestarted at their own 25 yard lineand drove 75 yards on sevenplays. Grisham took it over fromsix yards out for his secondtouchdown of the night. 28-20 with 7:52 left in the third.

Van Alstyne then put together aBulldog-like drive that kept Howe'sdefense on the field for 15 plays and6:37 seconds taking most of the thirdquarter away. At the one yard line,Jones tried to carry it over and wasstripped of the ball by Hartsfield whoran from the one to midfield beforethe officials blew the whistle andsaid that Jones was down before theball came out. Van Alstyne tried toquickly snap the new ball that wasdelivered in the game beforeHartsfield could get back to the lineof scrimmage. With the Howelinebacker having to come out of thegame, Van Alstyne's Proctor scoredon a quarterback sneak on a 1-yarderto narrow the gap to 28-26 with only1:15 left in the third quarter. Howeheld Jones back for the 2-pointconversion attempt.

Trading punches was the name of thegame as neither defense had much ofan answer to either offense. Howe'snext possession started at their own

43 yard line. Grisham, who was ahorse for Howe with 202 yards onthe night, converted multiple fourthdown conversions with the help oflead blocker Hartsfield. Time andtime again, Offensive CoordinatorDale West called Grisham's numberto get them the needed one or twoyards for the first down. In thissituation, Grisham was good foraround eight yards in eachscenario. But with Howe facing a4th and 3 at the Van Alstyne 36,Grisham was turned away in thatsituation for the first time of thenight and Howe turned the ball overon downs with 9:31 left in the gameleaving the door cracked for a latePanther comeback. To makematters worse for the 'Dogs, apersonal foul occurred at the end ofthe play and instead of the Panthersstarting at their own 36 yard line, they got the ball in Howe territoryat the 49.

Howe's new librarian reaping therewards of hard work and faith

Melissa Atchison was born inNorth Central Arkansas in a littletown called Batesville. After manymoves, the family landed in Plano,Texas in 1974 when Parker Roadwest of US Highway 75 was agravel road. A Plano Senior HighSchool graduate of 1978 and aUniversity of North Texas graduateof 1982, Atchison started herworking career as an estateadministrator with Nations Bankfor ten years.

"I would probably still be doingthat, but our oldest daughter(Catherine) was born in '92 and Iquit to stay home with her."

Not long afterwards, in 1994, thefamily moved to Van Alstyne awayfrom the Metroplex. Two yearslater in '96, second daughterAmanda was born.

"When I went back to work, I knewI needed it to be something with theschools because I wanted summersoff." said Atchison. "It was too farto commute to downtown Dallaswhere there was a trust department,so I just ended up at the library. Iwas volunteering at the elementarylibrary and decided that would be agood place for me. I thought itwould be a fate worse than death tobe in a classroom full of kids thewhole time. I had helped set up ourchurch library and I thought, 'this iswhat I need to do. I need to be inthe library.'"

Atchison then went back to schoolto get her Master of LibraryScience degree at Texas Women'sUniversity in Denton. She learnedthere that she had to spend aminimum of two years in theclassroom to be a certified schoollibrarian in the State of Texas. Now she was staring at a two yearsentence of what she thought wasfate worse than death.

"I go to the Methodist church inVan Alstyne and there's a WeeSchool there and a lot of the WeeSchool teachers were certifiedteachers who had put their careers

on hiatus while their kids werelittle." said Atchison. "They toldme that there were no part-timeteaching positions available andthey won't let you job share hereand it's not going to work. I wasstill going to try so I emailed allthree principals at Van Alstyne andthe next day I got a response fromthe middle school saying, 'you'renever going to believe this, but Ihave a two year part-time positionopen next year.' God opens doorsand I walk through them like thatwhen it's that obvious."

As it turned out, it was a muchbetter fate than she anticipated andshe spent 12 years as a classroomteacher.

"I ended up loving being in theclassroom." said Atchison.

She ended up teaching sixth gradelanguage arts in Van Alstyne forthose 12 years through last schoolyear. While she loved teaching, she was patiently waiting thelibrarian position to open in VanAlstyne. About 10 years ago, mostISDs in Texas decided that theyneeded just one certified librarianon staff. This limited heropportunities.

In keeping up with mandatoryCPET (Center for the ProfessionalEducation of Techers) credits, sheattended classes in Austin thissummer and took some librarycourses to keep up with hercertifications. During that trip toAustin, she attended the TexasAssociation of School LibraryAdministrators, she realized thatnow was the time to move forwardwith her goal of being a libraryadministrator.

"I just decided, it's time." saidAtchison. "I've got to use this MLS(Masters of Library Science). That's where I wanted to be in thefirst place."

From that decision, she went online

You Might Be From Texasif...

You may have noticed in lastweek's edition a new featuredcartoon of the week for the HoweEnterprise. The cartoons are froma book entitled You Might Be FromTexas If... which is a publicationfull of cartoon drawings by NickAnderson of the HoustonChronicle.

Anderson cannot remember a daythat he was not drawing. Theyoungest child of 11 bought hisfirst book in cartooning in fifthgrade.

"My dad was a biochemist and Ijust loved drawing. I told my dad Iwanted to be a cartoonist and helaughed and laughed and laughed. I

got my first laugh talking aboutcartoons, not actually from anactual cartoon." Anderson joked."He told me ' there's as manypeople that could fit in a phonebooth that is drawinig editorialcartoons in this country.' I wasnever good at math so I decided todo it anyway."

Anderson did editorial cartoons forhis high school newspaper and hiscollege newspaper at Ohio State.

"I lucked out and I got a job rightout of college and I've never had areal job and I plan to keep it thatway." said Anderson.

CartoonAnderson got his start with the CourierGazette in Louisville, Kentucky where hestayed for 15 years before moving to theHouston Chronicle a little over 10 years ago.

Being in Texas for over 10 years has givenhim the true experience of the title of thebook. "I couldn't have done this in the firsttwo years. I had to be here a little while.Even then I had to enlist the help of somenatives.

Anderson said that he had to completelylearn about Texas during that time and thatone of the biggest shocks to him were thehigh school football homecoming mums andthe gargantuan sizes of them.

"The first time I saw them, I thought,'whatthe heck is going on there.'" Andersonlaughed.

He says his favorite cartoon changes fromday to day but right now seems to be, "Youmight be from Texas if...you're guncollection is larger than the pentagon's."

"One thing that I've found in my research isthat there's a handful of these things floatingaround out there." said Anderson. "There's afew lists of "you might be from Texas if..."

and about 60 percent of these are completelymine and 20 percent are ideas that friends gaveme and about 20 percent are ideas that were outthere already. We didn't want to leave those onthe table. We wanted this to be a prettycomprehensive list of things about Texas. Sobasically I just illustrated it and I think thedrawings really do add to the content. It reallydoes crystallize the idea and make it funnier."

Anderson is currently working on cartoons forthe presidential election and says that the circusthat it is makes it really easy to draw.

"I tend to lean to the left and when I got the joboffer here in Houston, I was like, 'have you seenmy cartoons?'" said Anderson. "You want meto come to Texas? Are they going to run me outon a rail?"

Anderson does get a lot of feedback and peoplewill email him and tell him how "stupid" he is."That just means I'm just doing my job. I wasthrilled to get James Baker to write the forward. He's one of the old-style Republicans that Ireally respect." said Anderson.

There could be a follow-up second volume ifthis one is successful. "The population of Texasis sure big enough to support it, but we'll justhave to see if it catches on." said Anderson.

Faith by Debbie Wallis

“There is therefore now nocondemnation for those who are inChrist Jesus,” Romans 8:1.

David grew up the youngest son ina large family and looked after thesheep and ran errands to his olderbrothers. He gained a level of faithin God which few men had. Daviddefeated Goliath using a sling and astone solely because of his faith inGod. Shortly afterwards he movedinto the palace with Saul and lived alife of a warrior for the next 7years. His abilities and braveryearned him great popularity andKing Saul became jealous andobsessed with wanting him dead. For the next 13 years David ran andhid from Saul but refused to raise asword against him. David had alistening heart towards the Lordduring those years of persecutionand when he learned that King Saulhad committed suicide he waitedfor the Lord to guide him. God leadDavid to the town Judah where hewas content to serve God with asmall army. Eventually Davidreturned to Jerusalem and becameKing of Israel. David wanted tobuild God a temple to showgratitude and love. The reply fromGod was that David's son,Solomon, would build the templeand that God wanted to buildDavid’s house (2 Sam. 7:4-13). He lost the description of histrue calling when he stayed homeand sent his General into battleinstead. When we aren’t active inour gifts and talents we becomedistracted, restless and a target forthe devil’s lies. If David had beenthe warrior king he was anointed andcalled to be he would not have beenhome hanging out on the roofwatching another man’s wife.Instead he would have been leadingthe way with passion against theenemies of the Lord. David wasn’tlooking for sin but sin found him notactive in his calling. Sometimeswhat we think will bring ushappiness brings our greatestheartaches. David had killed tens ofthousands of enemies. Hepersevered under great difficulties. He slept years in caves in thewilderness waiting on the Lord. Hekept his eyes on the calling of Godno matter how long it took. In hisbattles he relied on the truth of Godbut when life was easy he took aback seat and that’s when Satanshowed up. “Be alert and of sobermind. Your enemy the devil prowlsaround like a roaring lion looking forsomeone to devour,” 1 Peter 5:8.

David separated himself from thearmy he was called to lead. Heisolated himself and gave way to hisenemy the devil. We are at thatsame risk and we all sin. Adam hadno worries in the Garden; beautifulwife, talked to God in the cool ofeach day, everything was given tohim without worries; yet he sinned. If Adam could be distracted by sinthen so can I! If David could be thatweak when he was that strong, thenso I can. We are capable of the mostblatant sin if we are given the rightisolation and presented with the righttemptation. Don’t isolate yourselffrom other believers. Don’t entertainsinful thoughts. We have to planahead to turn and run from ourtemptation! “But each person istempted when they are dragged awayby their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, itgives birth to sin; and sin, when it is

full-grown, gives birth to death,”James 1:14-15. David could haveconfessed his sin immediately butinstead he weaved a web of coverup. Manipulation NEVER worksout. Bathsheba got pregnant.David then had her husband, hisloyal servant, killed on the battlefield. His cover up made no senseand what he thought would makehim happy was now a monster thatwould not be tamed. All of thiscame from a warrior king whoshowed himself excellent in battle. When we panic we open ourselvesup to crazy logic and thinking!Telling the truth when we sin ishard to do because of the fear ofpunishment or loss of respect. Weuse terms like “I made a mistake”,“I didn’t know”, “It was a badchoice”, “I was wrong” but weavoid the word sin. Confessing, “Isinned” is where the walls of liescome down. Fear blames others, makes excuses and matters getworse. When you lie you putyourself in Satan’s territory. Youmay have gotten what you wantedbut now it feels like a bed ofcopperheads. Your life is not overand you have not ruined God’s planfor you. It’s never been about usgetting it right. It’s about ChristWho makes us right. God is notdisappointed in you. He alreadyknew where you’d mess up and itdidn’t shock Him. Jesus took allyour sins, your regrets, your shameand your heartaches and paid theprice of death on the cross for you.His grace is unmerited but freelyprovided. God is opposite of ourlogic. When we go after whatmakes us happy we becomemiserable. God loves you exactlywhere you are. His joy is more thanhappiness and different than thehappiness we can supply forourselves. You can know real joyin the midst of real tragedy just bysaying yes to Jesus.

"The LORD does not look at thethings people look at. People lookat the outward appearance, but theLORD looks at the heart," 1 Samuel16:7. If you don’t have a Bibleplease contact me [email protected] and I willprovide you one.

messed up so many times yet isremembered as "a man after God'sown heart," 1 Samuel 13:14. Hisstory is a reminder that despiteour sins we can find favor inGod's sight, through the sacrificeof Jesus Christ.

Everything began to flourishwhen David became King but helost the contentment he had inbattle; his strength was also hisweakness. David added 5 morewives while he was king. I’vewondered if this is where Satanknew he could get David’sattention to turn to Bathsheba. IfDavid had given his whole heartto his first love he would not beentempted that day on the balcony.“And David sent someone to findout about her. The man said, “Sheis Bathsheba, the daughter ofEliam and the wife of Uriah theHittite,” 2 Samuel 11:3. Godwarned him that this woman wasnot his to take. Bathsheba’shusband was a loyal servant inDavid’s army and even followedhim to the wilderness when he ranfrom Saul. David ignored whatwas right and chose what waswrong. At that decision makingmoment he didn’t care what Godhad called him to do, he wantedBathsheba. David’s homefostered rebellion from that dayforward. "Thus says the LORD,'Behold, I will raise up evilagainst you from your ownhousehold; I will even take yourwives before your eyes and givethem to your companion, and hewill lie with your wives in broaddaylight. Indeed you did itsecretly, but I will do this thingbefore all Israel, and under thesun.'" Then David said to Nathan,"I have sinned against theLORD." And Nathan said toDavid, "The LORD also has takenaway your sin; you shall not die. However, because by this deedyou have given occasion to theenemies of the LORD toblaspheme, the child also that isborn to you shall surely die,” 2Samuel 12:11-14. David was thegreatest king that Israel had everhad but he failed as a husband anda father. All of his trouble thatfollowed was a direct result of his

“Halloween” dates back to theCelts, a tribal people who lived twomillennia ago chiefly in Britain andparts of Europe. On the night ofOctober 31, Samhain, a harvestfestival celebrated the official endof summer. Celtic householdsextinguished their hearths todeliberately make their houses coldand undesirable to disembodiedspirits. Some Celtic familiesdressed in weird costumes asdemons, hobgoblins and othermalevolent creatures, and masks todisguise themselves from the evil-minded spirits or paraded incostumes through villages to lurethe spirits away.

Later on, invading Roman armiesbrought their own harvest festivaldedicated to Pomona, a goddess offertility and orchard crops such asapples and nuts. Pomona’s festivalwas held nearly the same time asSamhain, thus the two celebrationswere melded together. Harvest festduring the Victorian era was notonly about spirits but also aboutromance. Girls and young womenemployed a number of divinationspells to try to identify their futurehusbands and predict the course oftheir marriage.

Did you ever wonder why we bobfor apples at Halloween parties? The winner of this game wasthought to be the first who wouldmarry.

When Christianity swept overBritain and Europe, many pagancelebrations were turned intoChristian observances. PopeBoniface IV created All Saints Dayin May of 610 AD to rememberearly Christian martyrs. PopeGregory III moved thecommemoration to November 1 in835 AD. All Saints Day was alsoknown as All Hallows and the day

before as Hallows Eve or Even.Over time, October 31 came to becalled Halloween.

When England began foundingcolonies in America, colonistsbrought their holiday customs withthem. Puritan New Englandbanned Halloween whereas themiddle colonies, such as NewYork, New Jersey andPennsylvania, preservedHalloween traditions.

The custom of hollowing out andcarving turnips with demon facesand lighting a candle within is aCelt tradition. Immigrants toAmerica found few turnips butplentiful pumpkins in their newland. The “Jack o’lantern” takesits name from an Irish folktale of asinner named Jack who wascondemned by the Devil to carry acoal in a hollowed out turnip untilJudgment Day.

One of the most sought afterHalloween collectibles arepulp/papier mache jack-o-lanterns.There are clues that you want tolook for to determine if your jackis American or German. Americanjacks are larger, made of “egg-carton” material, with cutouts foreyes and mouth with paper inserts, and the bottom and body are onepiece. The German jacks from1900-1930s are generally smaller, made of composition or cardboard, with cutouts for eyes, nose andmouth with inserts, and haveattached cardboard bottoms. Jack-o-lanterns are valued by size andcondition. The following are forperfect containers with perfectinserts. American: 4” $95, 5”$145, 6” $185, 7” $225; Germancompo 4” $275, 5” $350, molded3” $110-6” $275. One book listedan exquisite German 1908-1912papier-mache pumpkin lantern

Texas History Minute:

Lloyd Bentsen was a businessman, veteran, and four-term U. S.Senator. He was a hard worker andrespected by Texans as heattempted to step up into thenational spotlight. Bentsen was agentle giant in Texas politics, agentleman in a time in whichpolitics was becoming increasinglybitter.

Lloyd Millard Bentsen, Jr., wasborn in Mission in South Texas in1921. His grandfather had been aDanish immigrant who came to theUnited States and started a farm inSouth Dakota. His father, LloydBentsen, Sr., arrived in the RioGrande Valley at age 24 in 1918 toimprove his fortunes. He arrivedpenniless and grew to become oneof the most important businessmenand ranchers in the region.

The future senator grew up on hisfather’s ranch until he graduatedhigh school. He attended theUniversity of Texas, earning a lawdegree by 1942. With Americafighting World War II, he enlistedin the U. S. Army Air Force androse to command a squadron of B-24 bombers. He flew thirty-fivemissions and earned theDistinguished Flying Cross. Hewas honorably discharged after thewar as a lieutenant colonel butwould serve in the reserves from1950 to 1959.

He returned to Hidalgo County andwon election as county judge forHidalgo County in 1946. He waselected to Congress in 1948,unopposed in each of three terms. He was a respected figure inCongress and worked closely withSpeaker of the House SamRayburn, a fellow Texan. With awife and growing family, Bentsenstepped down from Congress in1955 and started a successfulinsurance company in Houston and

also served on the board ofdirectors of several energycompanies.

In 1970, Bentsen re-enteredpolitics, challenging liberal Sen.Ralph Yarbrough in theDemocratic Primary. Bentsenscored a surprise win in the hard-fought contest. In spite of thedivisive primary, Yarbroughendorsed Bentsen in the fallcontest, the Democrats united, and Bentsen went on to winagainst George H. W. Bush witha comfortable 53% of the vote.

In 1975, Bentsen announced arun for president. However, hisefforts faltered and lost theDemocratic nomination toformer Georgia governor JimmyCarter. Nevertheless, Bentsen’scareer rebounded and he won re-election easily in 1976 and 1982.

He was a moderate politically. He supported civil rights, environmental protection, andthe Equal Rights Amendment, while promoting deregulationand business interests. Hisexpertise in business and financewas recognized by both parties. In 1983, he became chairman ofthe Joint Economic Committee.By 1987, Bentsen had becomechairman of the influentialSenate Finance Committee, aposition he would hold for sixyears.

Gov. Michael Dukakis ofMassachusetts won theDemocratic nomination forpresident in 1988 and quicklychose Bentsen as his runningmate. It would be a rematch ofsorts from 1970, but on anational scale, as George H. W.Bush won the Republicannomination. The Dukakiscampaign, however, quicklyfaltered after a series ofmissteps. In the vice-presidential debate, Bentsenuttered one of the memorablelines of the whole campaign.Then-Indiana Sen. Dan Quayleattempted to compare hisexperience to President John F.Kennedy when Bentsen replied,“I knew Jack Kennedy. JackKennedy was a friend of mine.Senator, you’re no JackKennedy.”

As much as his performance inthe debate and on the campaigntrail energized Democratsnationally, the ticket wasdefeated that November andBush became president. In spite

of the defeat in the presidentialelection, Bentsen was able to win re-election to the Senate at the sametime.

In 1993, President Bill Clintonappointed him as Secretary of theTreasury. He reigned in 1994 as hishealth began to decline. He wasawarded the Presidential Medal ofFreedom for his service in 1999. Hedied at his home in Houston in 2006.

The Bulldogs needed to go 74 yards to regainthe lead. After converting another fourth downplay, on first down Howe decided to throw theball from their own 37 yard line. That proved tobe costly as senior safety Landon Pardeeintercepted the ball at the Van Alstyne 22 yardline. One play later, Jones outran the defensefor a 78-yard touchdown. The score stretchedthe Van Alstyne lead to 39-28 with 4:42remaining in the game.

The never-say-die Howe Bulldogs put togethera 10-play, 87-yard drive that took 3:57 secondsto score when Matthews broke free on a trickplay for 17 yards. Howe narrowed the gap, 39-36 with 1:45 left in the game.

Howe's hopes hung on an onside kick thatlanded out of bounds and gave the Panthers theball at midfield. Howe used their timeouts toforce a punt. The snap sailed over punterD'Angelo Alexander's head who had to go backand retrieve it. Fortunately for Alexander, theball went over his left shoulder and the left-footed punter was able to retrieve and kick inthe same motion with Bulldogs staring down at

him. The punt went out of bounds at the Howe30 yard line. With 7.9 seconds, Howe had oneshot to score to win the game. Wall rolled outand tried to hit Ty Harvey but the ball fellincomplete. The clock mysteriously took all7.9 seconds off the clock on a play that tookonly five second from snap to finish. Theofficials did not put time back on the clock andthe game was ruled over.
