Think, Try, Succeed!

In the battle of the big cats, the Thompson Tigers Boy’s Football team earned the title of City Champs on Friday, October 22. Playing under the lights at the Arthur Hill Stadium, the Tigers defeated the Ruben Daniels Mid-dle School Cougars, 14-12. Lego Harry Potter is a

good new game to the Lego

video game series. As a bo-

nus, there’s going to be a

part two since it’s only

books one through four.

I thought the game

was the best way to play the

Harry Potter series. The

first few levels are you

learn to cast spells and how

to work the controls.

I rented the game so I

only had time to get to the

middle of book one. It was

still pretty hard and interest-

ing. They probably did that

so people would enjoy it.

Now in the middle of

the game when you get in

the Quidditch match, you

play as Ron and Hermione

and you have to build a few

Lego staircases. All you

have to do is find a picture

near the Legos to find

which Lego parts that go to-

gether.

The best way to earn

studs (studs are money in

each Lego game) is by sav-

ing students that get trapped

by drawers that come to

life, vines that snatch them

or a monstrous weed.

There are a lot of

places to get the Lego

Harry Potter years one

through four, like Wal-Mart,

K-mart and Best Buy. This

is the game that I think kids

will like.

Harry Potter Game Challenging

The Way We See It... Junk food is best! Health food gives zest!

French fries are not good! They will clog your arteries. Fries will put you somewhere you don’t want to be. So everyone say NO to junk food and say YES to healthy foods. Bad food will make you gain weight and you will become obese if you eat high calorie foods. For example, don’t eat fast foods all the time. Just eat it once in awhile. You should be eating veggies like carrots, pickles, and toma-toes, and whole wheat bread. When you go to the store, you should look on the label of the food you are getting and see what the calories are. Everyone is supposed to eat only up to 2000 calories a day. People should grow a garden and eat the food that you grow. Fresh vegetables have a lot less calories! You will have a lot more energy if you eat healthy food. If you eat candy such as Snickers, Twix, and Hershey bars and it can go on and on. Junk food will give you cavities in your mouth. You don’t want that, nor having to get your teeth pulled out. It will hurt!

That’s the way I see it.

The Jersey Shore is an awesome real-

ity television show on MTV! There are eight

roommates who signed up to live with each

other and party in Jersey (Home of the Fist

Pumping), but plans changed, so they are in

Miami!

Junk food crave! I know everybody in the world likes junk food. Even those healthy people that work out all the time. I re-searched that many healthy people eat their favorite bag of chips after a long run. I know junk food is not always the best for you. Some healthy food is good, but not all of it! Besides, it never tastes as good as junk food. I see people eating Hot Cheetos, Doritos, Lays potato chips, and other chips when they want a snack. You don’t see anybody walking around munch-ing on broccoli, carrots, and other healthy foods, do you? I know healthy food is good, but come on! You know that you love to eat your favorite bag of chips. I know every-body likes junk food, nobody really likes veggies. So, health food nuts, stop hating on junk food. It tastes so good!

That’s the way I see it.

decided it was time to go home. She didn’t

go without a fight though. Snooki got tired

of her so they wrestled, then Angelina went

home.

Angelina thinks she’s the boss, but

she is a mean, dumb instigator.

“Angelina is just mean,” said 7th

grader Veneicia Gonzalez. Adrienne Wiles

and Ajenell Hoggs, also 7th graders, agree

because she talks behind people’s backs.

Snooki is my favorite girl. She is

really cool to me.

The Jersey Shore is an awesome

each other and party in Jersey (Home of the

Fist Pumping), but plans changed, so they

are in Miami!

There is Snooki, JWOW, Sammi,

Angelina, Pauly D, Vinny, Ronnie, and Mike

(The Situation).

Angelina is a drama queen. She

thinks she deserves all the attention. How-

ever, everybody else didn’t agree, so she

JWOW is tough. She sticks up for

herself.

“JWOW is hot!” said seventh grad-

ers Logan Northrup, Richard Saldana, and

Santino Garcia.

Sammi is quiet, but some people

don’t like her because she keeps running

back to Ronnie. Ronnie is a cheater, I don’t

like him anymore. Pauly D is my favorite

guy of the group. He is so cute! He is built

with a six-pack, and I’m sure many girls are

thinking the same.

Vinnie is cool. He’s more laid back,

but he’s still my second favorite guy.

Lastly, Mike (The Situation) is a

major player and sometimes he has anger is-

sues.

So all you MTV reality show view-

ers, if you thought this was interesting, you

should check out Jersey Shore yourself on

MTV!

Yes Club Raises Money for Cancer Research

On Thursday November 18, the day of student led confer-ences, the YES Club members stayed after school to have a bake sale and sell pink ribbon pins for breast cancer re-search. Some members went to classes and asked parents and teachers if they would like to donate for breast cancer.

The group also sold pink lemonade and offered students a chance to wear a pink shirt to school for one dollar. Overall, the YES Club raised $256 to donate to Breast Cancer Research!
