Established in 1920, Despiau is a family business based in Gimont, France and is one of the world leaders in the production of bowed instrument bridges. The Sound Post Ltd is pleased to represent Despiau in the UK, Ireland & Scandinavia as the exclusive distributor.

Despiau bridges are supplied in a wide number of options including a variety of models, quality of graded finish, leg widths & heart height. Our UK stock levels are designed to accommodate the more frequently requested models but in addition we can also source almost any requirement subject to production lead time and availability.

Despiau Ecolier Bridges are offered as an economy option ranging across fractional sizes for student instruments. Violin & Cello offered in 4/4 to 1/8, viola standard 48mm & bass 3/4 (full size) to 1/8.
