The Demand is growing – ATM is near its limits!

The current Air Traffic Management …… is nearing the end of its ability to deliver the capacity necessary to accommodate the increasing demand.

Both the underlying operational concept and the supporting technologies need major improvements.

The existing airport infrastructure … … cannot fully accommodate the increasing demand.

Whereas the European traffic … … will almost double by 2020, i.e. 18 Million IFR flights per year.
