power undeniable, its appeal unshakeable. The Scirocco R has been created specifically

for those who value performance, individuality and precision engineering.

streamlined bodywork, pronounced hip-line and low profile has been purposefully designed

to enhance its performance and to send a message to onlookers – beware!

No matter which way you look at it, the Scirocco R is pure Volkswagen – with a twist.

It’s the perfect body to contain the high-performance beast that lurks within.

The stylish Scirocco R features a

large rear spoiler with integrated

third brake light for a sporty

style. It’s a car that abounds with

carefully thought-out details and

refinements, matte chrome door

mirrors, front and rear parking

sensors and ease of tailgate

access with its nifty swiveling

Volkswagen badge. The standard

Rear View Camera (RVC*) adds an

extra layer of convenience and

alleviates the stress of parking.

The Scirocco R's grille features our 'R' badge and a unique gloss black finish, and also

directs a steady flow of air to the radiator. The 19-inch Cadiz alloy wheels are wrapped in low

profile 235/35 R19 tyres. Like everything else on this car, their looks are every bit as good as

their performance. Bi-Xenon headlights offer superior clarity and provide the illumination

you need, right where you need it. The LED tail lights and registration plate light catch the

eye while dual chrome exhausts enhance the sporty appearance.

STEP INSIDE, STEP UP.Everything about the Scirocco R’s cabin has been designed to aid driver comfort and

enjoyment. That includes the Scirocco R's sports seats, which combine adjustability and

excellent ergonomic design. Stylish and durable ‘Race’ black fabric/grey mircofibre

upholstery with R logo comes as standard while luxurious black Vienna leather appointed

upholstery* is optional.

Other stylish interior features include dual-zone air conditioning with allergen filter and

Volkswagen’s exciting new-generation Discover Media infotainment system, which comprises

of a 6.5" high-resolution touch screen display and offers multiple-device Bluetooth®

connectivity.

App-Connect technology uses Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™ or MirrorLink® software to

seamlessly integrate your smartphone with the Discover Media Satellite Navigation System.

The leather-bound steering wheel

looks a treat and is functional,

too, with gearshift paddles in the

DSG model. The instrument

cluster features signature blue

needles for easy visual recognition

in all conditions. Unique to the

Scirocco R is its interior styling,

with triangular door handles, a

gloss black finish on the door

handles and centre console, and

aluminium front door sill inlays

complete with ‘R’ logo.

ACCELERATING ADMIRATION.The Scirocco R is the ultimate combination of style and speed. From the engine

package to the transmission and suspension, you’ll find the Scirocco R’s technologies

make day-to-day driving safer, easier and overall much more pleasant. It’s every inch

the driver’s car, but it’s also civilized enough to allow drivers of all dispositions to enjoy

their motoring.

With Adaptive chassis control, the lowered

sports suspension assumes a specially

tuned characteristic for each of the driving

modes. Drivers can select from Normal,

Comfort and Sport modes to suit the

conditions ahead and how they wish for the

car to behave. With the touch of a button

the driver can change the basic character of

the car towards sporty or more comfort-

oriented driving to experience an optimum

level of driving comfort and enjoyment.

The Scirocco R's traction control systems

help you to maintain control of your vehicle

even in difficult driving situations. Built

around three distinctive functions –

Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), Anti-Slip

Regulation (ASR) and Electronic Stabilisation

Program (ESP). XDL is an extension of the

Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) function

that improves traction and reduces the

tendency to understeer. As a direct result of

the one-sided and precise braking pressure,

cornering is sportier and more accurate.

Powerful, dynamic and advanced, the

extraordinary Scirocco R unlocks

outstanding performance potential with an

impressive 188kW of power and 330Nm

of torque from its 2.0-litre turbocharged

TSI engine. Standard on all models, sports

instrument dials on the dashboard pay

tribute to the original 1974 Scirocco,

enabling you to keep an eye on the oil

temperature and turbo boost pressure,

and use the multifunction stopwatch to

measure stationary and driving times.
