Critical issues in interdisciplinary collaboration
Language of interdisciplinary communication: The absence of such language leads to the lack of understanding between representatives of different disciplines forming cognitive science.
Underestimation of results obtained by collaborators, as well as their research efforts (“It’s trivial, isn’t it?”; “We could have done the same stuff much easier”);
A certain degree of superficiality of interdisciplinary investigation due to the limited ability of collaborators to penetrate to the core of a neighboring discipline.
Organizational problems (prejudice, grants, institutional colloboration, etc.).
