Jeffery Temple, CFNP-OPA, is an advanced practice family nurse practitioner and orthopaedic physician’s assistant. Since the year 2001, he has been affiliated with Northern Pines Orthopaedic Clinic in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Prior to his current position, he began his career as a certified surgical technologist in 1987, and has advanced his career including experience in emergency, trauma, surgery, hospital, and the clinic setting. In the academic arena, he serves as a mentor for the Rural Physician Associate Program (RPAP) and the University of Minnesota Medical School, has authored articles for publication, and serves as a local preceptor for nursing and midlevel programs. He also spends his time promoting education in the community by guest lecturing at Itasca Community College, local chamber of commerce luncheons, and providing sports medicine game coverage for football, hockey, and wrestling programs. In the clinic setting, he not only assists an independent orthopaedic surgeon, but is very versatile in his own independent practice managing fractures and orthopaedic disorders, while implementing the use of diagnostic ultrasound for clinical assessment and interventions.
