Aims of the Olchfa Pathway•To encourage you to become well-rounded, socially aware and independent individuals
•To ensure regular expert advice is available to you on the pathways you have chosen and on future choices
•To motivate, advise, inspire and encourage you
•To give you the opportunity to experience new pathways
Strands that make up the ‘Olchfa Pathway’
Formal Pathway - your options & compulsory subjects
Non-formal Pathway - other organised courses that lead to awards e.g. First Aid, Duke of Edinburgh Award etc……
Informal Pathway - your hobbies and the Enrichment Programme
What is Enrichment?
Enrichment is an opportunity for you to get involved in a variety of activities to develop your ‘informal pathway’. You complete one activity from the following key areas:1. Community2. Cultural3. Sport & Healthy Living4. Practical

Enrichment choices – Sport & Healthy living
Enrichment choices – Practical
Choose one option from each category.Two must be Year 10 options and two must be
year 11 optionsYou must give a first and second choice
Tips:• Try something new• Don’t choose something because your friends are• Chat to your parents/tutor• Make sure your first and second choice for each
section are both either Yr 10 options or Yr 11.• Children’s Nurseries, Golf and Squash involve
giving up some of your lunch hour, so if chosen you are committing to this extra time.
Deadline: choices back to tutors by 8th
May
