everyone has been working very hard to get boats ready to sail, race or live on. SYC has a lot planned for this year to bring you the best’s entertainment we can afford. Your board has been able to keep our membership cost down over the last few years but I want you to keep in mind that SYC is the cheapest club in the U. S. that we can find. Our 2012 Racing Season has a full schedule of races. On the docket we have Distance Rac-

ing, Buoy Racing, Regatta, and our famous Wednes-day Nite Beer Can Racing. We have also reserved one Tuesday evening per month this summer for events to be determined. Ideas include the popular Single Handed Race, and Catalina 30 Shoot Out. You can check out the complete schedule on the SYC website. We have posted the Notice of Races, Registration Forms, and Sailing Instructions. The first Wednesday Nite series will begin on May 16th, with start time of 6:30 pm. Be sure to get your reg-istration in if you plan to race in any of the events. We are pleased to report that we have sold our small dock box and are replacing it with a large dock box. The new box should be able to easily hold all our anchor tackle, buoys, and flags. Our Commodore is working with the marina to relocate the new box to the a closer, more convenient spot on the walkway near the 500 dock.

See you on the Starting Line!
