各位 3D 讀者：

我很高興可以再一次在這裡跟大家見面。在這裡首先來一個新年的祝福：「祝大

家身體健康，新年進步，學業百尺竿頭，更進一步」一本好的班刊必須大家的通

力合作，及一班編輯們的努力才可成功。由活 2D 到活 3D 以來的五期成功推出

有乃班主任柴太，袁老師，鄒老師，許太的支持。由於本班刊是以自負盈虧的方

式營運，一直以來全靠同學們的支持班刊才得以生存。你的支持是推動我們做得

更好的動力。

下期起編輯們將會以全新的組合出現，首先主編一職將由趙子俊代替本人出任，

而編輯將由周敬勤及孟皓翔擔任，郭浩軒將會成為新一任的秘書，同樣地劉俊劭

會為我們管理財富，而我將會擔任排版的工作。希望班刊的全新組合能為班刊帶

來新氣象。

今期的班刊將以全新形象與大家見面，分開中文及英文部分。中文部分的名字將

會繼續以活 3D 跟大家見面而英文的部分將由 The Legendary of 3D 代替 Wood

2D 今期內容豐富，當中包括 2011 大事回顧，遊戲介紹等。

相信我在沒有這個機會再次與大家在此說話，願以下面幾句共勉：

機會是留給「有準備」的人 , 成功是留給「能堅持」的人。

自從在上年度的好 apps 推介裏介紹過關

於 iPhone 的東西後，我最近又聽見同學

們問我關於最新 iPhone 系統 IOS 5 的事

情，又問我可不可以 Jailbreak 等等的問

題，現在我會在這裏詳細告訴大家。 notification center 通知中心

通知中心是一個很方便的通知系統，相當於 Lockinfo。若你在

任何時候從設備頂部拉下來，它就會出現；它也會在鎖定屏幕

中出現。在 IOS 4 裏，若你有大量通知，你只能看到最尾一個

通知而已。在通知中心裏面可以看到天氣、股市（學生應該沒

有用的）、所有未來接電、信息、facebook 通知、郵件等。

iMessage

這一個功能相當於 Whatsapps。他可以在不同台的 iPhone

裏不用收短訊費用地傳送短訊，也可以在 iPhone, iPod 和

iPad 裏互傳訊息。這個功能只能用於 iPhone, iPod 和 iPad，

其他電話還是要靠 Whatsapp 的；iMessage 是用數據傳送，

請注意數據費用（可以用 wifi 的）。

Reminders 提醒事項

提醒事項是一個提醒功能，你可以在這寫一個清單讓自

己記得做一些事情，並在特定條件下提醒你，本人認為

此與行事曆有一點相似，但這就可以在你到達或離開一

個地方時提醒你做事，也可指定一個日期去做事。這個

功能配合通知中心真是天衣無縫！

Camera and Photos 相機與相片

在相機和相片方面，IOS 5 作出了一些更

新，你可直接在鎖屏按兩下主畫面按紐，就

會出現相機 app。在相機裏，可以用手指開

合縮放，又可以按提升音量按鈕來拍攝。拍

照後，可裁切、旋轉和移除紅眼，還有把照

片在 iPhone 裏開新相簿。

可否 Jailbreak?

到目前為止，IOS 5.0, IOS 5.0.1 等等都天可以 jailbreak;

打呵欠是大腦疲倦缺氧時，自發呼出二氧化

碳和吸入新鮮空氣的動作。在同一場合，若

有人打呵欠，旁邊的人也會陸續打呵欠，好

像被傳染了，這是因為現場二氧化碳濃度上

升，人人都感到疲倦，加上容易受他人行為

感染，所以大家都跟打呵欠。

牙膏主要成份包括摩擦劑、表面活性劑、濕潤劑、芳香劑和氟等

物質。摩擦劑佔兩成半至六成，用作去污及磨光牙面，但不損牙

齒周邊組織。刷牙時，表面活性劑產生泡沫，有助清潔。芳香劑

包括薄荷類等，再加入其他成份例如氟，可防止蛀牙。

向日葵花盤下的莖部有「植物生長素」，遇陽光照射會刺激

細胞迅速生長和拉長，使花盤慢慢向太陽轉動。但太陽

下山後，「植物生長素」重新分佈，花盤返回原來方向。當

花盤成熟結子後，便垂下不再轉動了。

紅海位於阿拉伯半島與東非之間，氣候炎熱，海水

溫度較高，含鹽量大，表層海水生長有大量紅色海

藻，使海水略呈紅色，是紅海得名的說法之一。另

有說法指紅海兩岸有大片紅黃色岩壁，陽光反射海

面時紅光閃耀，紅海因而得名。

荷蘭研究人員在草地搭起大帳篷，繁殖了四萬只蚊子，之後在五十、一

百、一百五十米布置了三圈誘蚊器，裏有乾冰煙霧，蚊子飛入即被凍死。

結果，在最遠處的一百五十米發現八成的蚊子屍體。這意味蚊子至少

從今期的《我的飛航日記》中知道飛機師的工作絕不簡單，在這裏容筆者再介紹

一下機師那幾份飛行文件的內容。

天氣資料-這份資料詳細提供了起飛地、飛行途經地區和目的地的最新天氣情況；

選包括高空的風力、風向等重要資訊。此外，也會有雷暴、湍流(Turbulence)等天

氣的位置。

飛行通報 NOTAM-NOTAM，是 Notice to Airmen 的簡稱。NOTAM 提供了目的地

機場的最新消息、臨時改動的通知等。

飛行計畫 Flight Plan-顧名思義，這就是旅程的計劃書。這份計劃到出了出發時間、

航路、高度、速度、預計到運時間等。

載運資料 NOTOC (Notification to Captain)-這份資料分為兩部份：貨運艙單( Load

Sheet)和乘客名單。

上一次介紹了一些比較簡單的 Board Game。這次我就

介紹一些比較復雜,時間比較長的 Board Game。就是在

香港郵政通函郵寄服務「不收取通函」標貼機制

香港郵政宣布，「香港郵政通函郵寄服務」將於二零一零年九月一日推行全

新的「不收取通函」標貼機制。

由九月一日起，市民可於任何一間郵政局、各區民政事務處的公眾諮詢服

務中心、房屋署的屋邨辦事處和部分私人物業管理處免費索取香港郵政通

函郵寄服務「不收取通函」標貼。市民在信箱上貼上此標貼後，便不會再

收到經由香港郵政通函郵寄服務寄出的無名址通函郵件。標貼的式樣如圖

所示。

為確保關乎公眾利益的資訊可繼續經由此普及渠道流通，由政府部門及相

關機構、立法會議員、區議會議員、選舉候選人，以及根據《稅務條例》

第 88條合資格獲豁免繳稅的慈善機構發出的通函郵件，將不受新推出的「不

收取通函」標貼機制所限。

香港的廚餘問題

「廚餘」是指日常生活中所產生之剩

菜、剩飯、蔬菜等料理前後的食材，還有過期食品等。廚餘是有機廢物，容易腐

爛，棄置在堆填區，不單佔用大量空間，更會產生溫室氣體─甲烷及污水滲漏，

導致氣候變暖和嚴重影響環境衛生。香港素有美食天堂的美譽，可是，背後卻是

對食物的超級浪費；2009年，本港每天棄置約 3200公噸廚餘，重量相等於 132

部雙層巴士，浪費的數量十分驚人！但聯合國糧食農業組織公佈的最新數字，全

世界食物不足、營養不良人數達到約 9.23億。根據綠領行動的估計，港人每年

棄置的食物，已足夠全球約 1,700萬名飢民一年的緊急糧食需要。

Mobile telephones are a part of modern life and help

us to contact one another easily. However, some

people do not realize that there are some places

where a mobile telephone is inappropriate and one

of these places is the classroom.

Children and teenagers like who we are go to school

to learn, not to play with mobile phones. To allow

mobile telephones in the classroom gives students an idea that school is not

important. School should be one of the most important elements of a student's life.

Use of a mobile phone in a classroom disturbs the lesson and distracts both the

student using it and the student sitting next to him, which in turn

disturbs the teacher. This is a disrespectful action to both

the teacher who is teaching and the students who are

concentrating on their lesson. There is no necessity for

students to have mobile phones switched on during school

time. Just like my school there is a public telephone provided by the

college office for our students to contact their parents during emergency.

In this new era of mobile phones, we can catch up with the fast-paced

society that defines today's world by using internet access on the mobile

phones. I think that internet access for educational use is acceptable with

teacher approval in advance is fine, but on the other hand surfing some of

the net that are not related to the lesson or some inappropriate website

that is not good. This action may somehow disturb the class progress.

As you can see from the evidence of our school, discipline system has been set up by

the college in order to punish those students who do not behave well at school. Our

school rules have been written clearly, that we should not use the turn on the mobile

phone during school days. Some of our students still commit this offence, as they

don’t see conduct grade is important to them.

A very important part of educating a child or young person is to prepare them for life

and for work. When children and young people go to work, they will have to realize

that they are being paid for their time and attention and that an employer will not

appreciate someone conducting their social life in work time. There are many places

where mobile telephones should be banned, in church, during public ceremonies, at

the theater and cinema and they should also be banned in the classroom.

With no doubt, mobile phone should be banned in the classroom

For One More Day starts with a young sports reporter approaching former baseball player

Chick Benetto. Chick's first words are, "Let me guess. You want to know why I tried to kill

myself." From there the story of Chick's life is told in his voice, and the reader hears it as

if he or she is the sports reporter sitting there listening to him.

When Chick tries to commit suicide, he wakes up in a world between life and death where

he gets to spend one more day with his mother, who dies 8 years earlier. Chick was

supposed to be with his mother the day she died, and he still harbors guilt over the fact

that he wasn't.

The story moves back and forth between memories of Chick's childhood and adolescence,

and the action taking place between Chick and his dead mother. Ultimately, it is a story of

redemption and making peace with one's past. It is a story of love, family, mistakes and

forgiveness.

Albom's The Five People You Meet in Heaven. In fact, For One More Day is very similar to

Albom's previous novella. Same sort of characters, same sort of supernatural yet familiar

setting, same "It's a Wonderful Life" type move from regret to peace with one's life.

Albom does not break new ground here. That may be good or bad, depending on how much

you like his previous work.

I would recommend For One More Day to anyone looking for a quick, inspirational read;

however, it is not something I am likely to remember or reread.

As Adam drove, he became increasingly aware of an

extremely strange object in the sky above Pokfulam

Village.

Adam felt very scared. Suddenly the object seemed to

float closer. Adam drove away from the object at full speed.

Then a voice said to him from the back of his car, “Hey, pal.

Nice car!” Adam looked and saw a frog-like alien waving at

him. He stopped his car straight away. Then he turned to

the creature, with his face breaking in sweat, managed to stutter, “W-who are you?”

The alien laughed and said, “Well, I’m Prince Stuarthart from the Planet Mars. I

would like to see how life on Earth would be like. However, my spaceship-the one

you saw in the sky broke down. Would you show me around?”

“Of course!” said Adam, seeing that the alien was lost and took pity

on him. “Here, I’ll take you to Ocean Park. There are a lot of games

and a lot to see.” “Oh, good!” said prince Stuarthart, happy and

excited.

They drove to Ocean Park and rode a roller coaster and a lot other

machine games. Prince Stuarthart loved the tour most, when they

went to see the pandas and the aquatic creatures. He thought that

they were lovely and even cried when Adam mentioned that some of

them were endangered.

Then Adam took prince Stuarthart to Stanley. Prince Stuarthart

enjoyed the food there very much. When they went to the marketplaces, he was

very surprised to see that there were so many things to buy on Earth.

In the end, Adam gave Prince Stuarthart a surprise. He gave the Prince a crystal as a

souvenir. Suddenly the sky opened and the Prince was slowly sucked into the air.

“Thank you, my friend, for giving me the crystal for my fuel. Now I can go now.

Thank you for the tour!” Adam missed the Prince, but he was gone in a flash. The

sky was getting dark and so Adam drove home.

There are a lot of accidents happening in Hong Kong everyday. Many people become

injured and even die. So keeping safe on Hong Kong roads is very important

nowadays.

For pedestrians, they must not cross a road when the red light is on because not only

it is against the law, it is not safe because the road is full of cars. When they want to

cross a pedestrian crossing, they should look left or right according to the signs on

crossing before they cross it.

When getting on and off mini-buses, you should make sure that the back of your

clothing is not clasped between the doors. Many people die this way. Also, we should

wait for the mini-bus to stop before getting on and off or else you many fall down

and injure yourself.

Drivers should not drink-drive because alcohol interferes with the brain and drivers

cannot drive properly. There are a lot of accidents associated with drink-driving as it

is very common. Speeding is also a very serious issue. The driver many easily lose

control of the car and crash his/her car into something/ someone. The police should

take more drink tests or police speed traps in order to control the amount of these

two illegal actions happening.

Drivers should also have their headlights on at night to prevent accidents from

happening. They should not park near school because the life of children is greatly

endangered by the presence of vehicles.

Everybody has the responsibility to reduce the number of accidents and make Hong

Kong a safe place to live. I hope that my advice above would help people to keep safe

on Hong Kong roads.





Interview with our English Teacher-Mr. Crozier (Con.)


That’s a difficult question. In many ways, students are the same the world over. Generally, I think that HK

students are much more respectful and polite. They have a stronger sense of purpose and a stronger

connection to the school. Lots of the students share the values of the school. As you can see from the

evidence of the Alumni Association, a lot of graduated students have a strong links with SPC. As you may

know they donated the school clock and some of them are responsible for the renovation of school hall.

I was born in a place called Yorkshire in the northern part of England. When I was about six, I moved to

London where I have lived ever since. I went to different places for my university education. I went to two

places called Lancaster and Southampton. I have finished my degree in P.G.C.E. (Professional Graduate

Certificate in Education) in Southampton University.

If they are going on aboard for their studies, the first difference that they would notice that in England there

won’t be such emphasis on grammar but rather on composition. Besides, they would also find speaking

and listening (Oral work) are very important in the UK. In terms of safety, the UK is a very secure place to

live. Despite what you have seen from the news, it is just a very small minority of people. You can walk

around London as you can walk around Hong Kong. I feel completely safe. So don’t worry about safety.

Generally, English people are friendly but they can be very reserved. One of the big differences between

English people and Hong Kong people is that they are not overly polite or not overly to begin with. Once you

get to know them, they will become friendly and polite as well. They are not really rude, but I can say that

they are a bit shy to start off with.

The Chief Editor and Mr. Crozier

Well actually I have been in Hong Kong since August the first. So I am coming now to

the end of my sixth month in Hong Kong. And I am really enjoying it!

I have never visited Hong Kong before and I have actually not been in Asia before.

I am form the United Kingdom. I live most of my life in a place called Eltham. So I get

have used to city life and life in the countryside.

I want to come to Hong Kong to experience life in a different culture. I also

wanted to very much to work at St. Paul’s College because I have heard so many

good things about it. It has a very good reputation; very good standing not only in

Hong Kong but it has a worldwide standing as well because obviously it is well

known.

It doesn’t come as a surprise, I was a teacher in UK as well. I have taught in a

boy’s school, a girl’s school and mid school. I have a wide variety of educational

experiences.

Mr. Crozier is a new English native speaking teacher in St. Paul’s

College. This episode of Legendary had interview Mr. Crozier about

his personal life and our class. Let’s see what his response is.


Dear 3Ders,

It is nice to see you all in 3D again this year. First of all, I would like to

take this privileged opportunity to extend my sincere gratitude to Mrs. Zai,

Miss Yuen, Mrs. Hui, Miss Chau and of course all of you for your continued

support in us. Our class magazine <<活 2D>> last year had successfully

brought out 4 episode including 1 in first term and 3 in second term. Our

objectives are to let our class broaden their horizons as well as to

encourage them to contribute to their class. This year the editorial board

will continue to strive for our best in order to promote our objectives and

act out our class sprit. After an array of meeting within the editors, we

have decided the name of this year's class magazine, for the Chinese

department we will go on with the same name <<活 3D>>, but for the English

department of the magazine a new name has been specially designed for

this year as shown on the cover page, "The Legendary of 3D", instead of

the old name "wood 2D". Besides the name has changed, the editorial board

had also changed into another combination. Andy Chiu will take over the

position of Chief Editor from 2nd episode, Samuel will be the secretary,

Kingston and Ivan will be the editor with effective since 25

November,2011. Nathan Lau will be the treasurer and I will be the Chief

Editor for the 1st episode and the designer of the typesetting from the

2nd episode. I hope that the combination can bring a brand new image to

the magazine. In this episode there are different topics, including

classmate works, technology, board game and interview with Mr. Crozier

etc. Is it interesting? Can wait to read it? Wait, there is a special feature

of this episode and that is we have included some games and there will be a

prize for that. Let join it together!
