The Meaning of the Revolution

Glorious but ConservativeDesigned to preserve existing religion and institutionsBut ended the long standing struggle between monarch and Parliament in favor of Parliament. No possibility now of Royal Absolutism—in contrast to those unfortunate Europeans.
