2019 HR Program: The Future of WorkWhat is the Future of Work?
The next several years show more and more emphasis on the coworking boom, the continuation of
flex time telecommuting trends, the realities of technology at work, the impact of the gig economy
and the need for company culture that speaks to multiple generations … and much more.
HR Trends on The Future of Work will be investigated by Crain’s in a comprehensive research survey
deployed in February 2019. The research will then be discussed and revealed at a private event at
Crain NYC headquarters. Crain’s will invite a highly curated audience of HR executives and other
experts across different industries to this private breakfast event. Event date: 4/11/2019
Crain’s will develop all programming for the event from the results of the proprietary research and
participating sponsors will serve as underwriters of the research, and as panelists. The event recap
and research highlights will also be covered online and in the Crain’s New York Business publication in
late April. Our strategic partner for this program is the New York City Chapter of SHRM. SHRM: The
Society for Human Resource Management is the world’s largest HR professional trade organization
representing the HR industry.
2019 MULTIPLE SPONSOR PROGRAM OPPORTUNITIES2019 Family Business AwardsIn New York City, family-owned businesses are a key engine in the local and global economy. From our
reporting in both print and online, highlighting family businesses has always been one of the pillars of
Crain’s New York Business’ coverage. In 2019, Crain’s Custom Studio will recognize these
entrepreneurial families with a robust awards program which will honor businesses across NYC and
culminate in a celebratory reception on June 27, 2019. Through the promotion, coverage and live
event, this program will raise the profile of these inspiring businesses and support the network of
multigenerational businesses and community partners across the city’s five boroughs.
The nomination process will open in April 2019 with a robust media plan to support it. Additionally,
the nomination campaign will be promoted to our local strategic partners including the five borough
chambers of commerce. In late May/early June, Crain’s custom editors will cull nominations to
choose 15 honorees. All honorees will be invited to the June event, where they will be acknowledged
and given an award.
Post event content will be in Crain’s New York Business publication and in a content hub on
crainsnewyork.com
2019 CFO ForecastWhat is in store for CFOs and other senior management in 2020? What are the major challenges and
issues they are dealing in the various segments in their industry: segments like risk management,
evolving technologies, the current regulatory environment and talent management/retention. Crain’s
will conduct a comprehensive research survey in October of 2019 to delve into the latest concerns of
this executive financial group. Crain’s will unveil the research findings at a custom breakfast event on
December 4th at Crain Communication NYC headquarters.
Crain’s will develop all programming for the event from proprietary research and participating
sponsors can serve as underwriters of the research and as panelists. Crain’s will invite a highly
curated audience of CFOs/financial executives (CFOs, Chief Accounting Officers, Treasurers and
Comptrollers) to the event.
The event recap and research highlights will also be covered online and in the Crain’s New York
Business publication in January of 2020. Our strategic partners for this program are FEI and CFO
Alliance.
