For example, the Jealousy Pars, Marion’s

Delight, revivals and the augusta Prides. on

april 21, 1990 a unique female was born

in the pastures of Marion. Doug, Cory’s

father, saw her potential and instead of just

keeping with her cow family name he knew she needed something special. he added pride at the end of augusta and started the augusta Pride line. the

original augusta Pride, ss augusta Pride 063, is the dam of one of the most influential females in the breed, ss augusta Pride 3127. 3127 was a champion

herself, has produced champions and generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in progeny sold. But more importantly, her offspring are in high demand

and are still relevant in today’s cattle industry. We can say with confidence that our fellow shorthorn breeders are also “proUD oF Their priDeS”!
