David Zhou Kelso English 10 SM 2 March 2015 The Diving Bell One eye can still open; and without that eye, I would be no more. My body is a broken machine, a severed bridge – No longer functional; a shattered nexus to my mind, But still prevented from true wreckage by a single thread. I open my eye, and I always see the same – I don’t see anything anymore, yet I can see everything. Perception has no meaning when one only has power to perceive but not to act; Solipsistic is my world. Everything might as well be imagined. Damnation is the letter E; It mocks me and laughs hysterically in my face on a daily schedule. It knows I cannot avoid its clutches; it is the manifestation of my language.

Everything might as well be imagined.Damnation is the letter E;It mocks me and laughs hysterically in my face on a daily schedule. It knows I cannot avoid its clutches; it is the manifestation of my language. It is a faithful and ever-attentive warden of my prison my own flesh. When I close my door to the universe, it means the word yes to outside observers. What they dont know is that intense relief follows When I open my eye, I re-enter the void, the opaqueness of reality.I do not belong any longer, but I cannot do what I would like to.Given the chance, Id slash my last connection; But I can only wait for it to detach on its own.
