Investiture ceremony – Empowering the Young Leaders
We Continue with the Journey Started By Our Founders Investiture ceremony for the academic session 2018-19 was a brilliant cul-mination of responsibility of our upcoming leaders. The school Principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra addressed the gathering and encouraged the students to be committed and to always remember that leadership comes with integ-rity. The previous year’s Head Boy and Head Girl bid a sentimental adieu t o t h e s c h o o l i n t h e i r r e s p e c t i v e s p e e c h e s . The ceremony was presided over by Col. Ahluwalia, Sports Advisor Amity Group of Schools. School Principal Mrs. Arti Chopra administered the oath of office to the new Students’ Council. On behalf of the newly appointed Students’ Council, the Head boy- Keshav Maheshwari and the Head girl- Shreya Das gupta expressed their gratitude to the School for reposing faith in them . A constitution was released by the School Principal Ms.Arti Chopra and Col. Ahluwalia.
Investiture Ceremony on 12th feb for the newly appointed Jr.Student Council witnessed the remarkable gusto of the junior Amitians who were standing with an aura of disci-pline , dedication and commitment to their alma mater. The core coun-cil received the flag from the chief
guest, Col. Ahluwalia, and the school principal. Col. Ahluwalia, in his speech, emphasised the importance of discipline and dignity in life. The new Jr. Head Boy- Keshav Sethi and Jr.Head Girl Anshika Deo Singh, in their speeches, promised to dispense
their duties to the best of their abilities .

Padam Chopra, Aryaman Agrawal , Shwetank Modi and
Yashaswi Sharma , class XI students made us proud by
winning the National Competition- CBSE National Science
Competition held at Mt Abu Public School, Rohini. Our pro-
ject ‘Practicality’ in the category of health & well-being has
been selected as ‘WINNER’ amongst 400 schools.

CBSE HERITAGE INDIA QUIZ 2018
With an aim of promoting interest and desire among students to learn and appreciate the history, tourism and sharing the vast cul-tural heritage of our country, CBSE organized Heritage India Quiz on 3rd February,2018 at Amity International School, Sector 46, Gurgaon. Around 50 schools from northern region and NCR participated in the competition. The quiz was exuberantly conducted by Quiz Master Mr. Ajay Punia, associated with CBSE. The quiz was inclusive of written elimination round and stage quiz
round pyramid scheme, direct Verbal, audio infinite bounce interlock
grids and a buzzer round Gurukul School Panchkula and Jodhamal
Public School Jammu bagged the first and second positions The
event culminated with the address by School Principal Ms Arti Chopra
who congratulated the City Final winners and the regional final win-
ners and gave them the certificate of merit. She also thanked the visiting schools, Quiz Master Mr Ajay Punia and
CBSE for giving Amity an opportunity to host the event.

rable experience awarded to our students was meeting Nobel
Laureate Dr Takaaki Kajita, a Japanese physicist ,at Amity Uni-
versity, Noida. . Interacting with world famous dignitaries taught
them’ to pursue your dreams and world will be yours’.

CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM FOR CLASS XII TEACHERS
CBSE organized a two day Capacity Build-
ing Programme for History teachers at
Mamta Modern Sr. Sec School, Vikaspuri,
Delhi on 8th and 9th January 2018. The work-
shop was conducted by Ms Shalini Swarup.
Ms. Kusum Kapoor, HOD History from our
school attended this workshop and she also
attended Capacity Building Workshop in Pol.
Sc. Conducted by the CBSE expert Dr.
Ujjwal Kumar at AIS Vasundhra-6.
. The objective of the workshop was to provide a platform to learn and share
knowledge and discuss instructional strategies to meet various learning
objectives. Ms. Reema Gupta, from English Department attended a two
day workshop on Capacity Building program for class XII at ITL Public
School Dwarka. The enriching sessions were taken up by Ms. Malabika C.
Mukherjee and Ms. Kirti Tandon.
Citation and Blessing Ceremony for the students of Class XII
Citation and Blessing Ceremony was organized on February 12, 2018, for the
students of class XII to bid them warm adieu. The programme commenced
with the traditional hawan wherein each and every student along with his/
her teachers and parents offered prayers in the vicinity of sacred fire lit amidst
the chanting of shlokas. Chairperson of Amity Group of schools – Dr.(Mrs.)
Amita K Chauhan ,Mr. B.N Bajpayee Advisor to Chairperson and Mrs. Anita
Setia HR Head Amity were the eminent guests for the ceremony. Our stu-
dents mesmerized the gathering by a scintillating cultural dance performance
Ras Leela, an amalgamation of seven dance forms.
The Head boy and Head girl along with other students shared their experi-
ences and thanked the school for instilling in them a sense of pride, responsi-
bility and confidence. A few Amity parents sharing their experiences with the
gathering, reiterated the commendable role of teachers in shaping the per-
sonality of their wards. Hon’ble Chair-
person then addressed the students
and inspired them to remember the
success mantra of ‘BHAAG’ in life
which will always lead them to the
path of excellence.
The programme was concluded by “Showers of Blessings”- a very touching
and an emotional moment for students, teachers and parents with a beautiful
rendition of the famous hymn ‘Showers of Blessings’.

Top Acclaim in Young World Quiz
Our junior girls Shivangi (4th D), Jiya Saini (4th A)
and , Lavoni (4th A) added a golden feather in our
cap by winning Gold Medal in 55th National Roller
Skating Championship( Hockey ) held in Kuruk-
shetra. Around 1500skaters from 18 states partici-
pated in this championship. Congratulations for
proving yourself.

Spellathon Quiz
The Inter Class Spellathon for classes 1 and 2 was held on 23rd Feb., 2018. Ten teams consisting of three students from each of the sections participated in the quiz. This quiz included Word Wrap, Visual Round, Replace the word, Brain Ticklers, Word Juggle and finally the Rapid Fire round. The teams were continuously motivated and applauded
by their classmate. Congratulations to the Winners!
