go to Mr Young for his ongoing leadership of science content in our school and contribution to the VALID assessment process. Don’t Forget! Our Presentation Days will be held on December 3rd (K-2 ) & December 4th (3-6). These days are very important for parents and we know that changes to work schedules etc. can take time to organise. We are looking forward to seeing you all there on the day(s) to celebrate student successes in 2019. Have a great week everyone, Matt Barr Principal Year 2 – 3 Transition Information BIKES Our school follows RMS/Service NSW recommendations which suggest that students should not be permitted to ride their bikes to school until at least Year 3. Please be aware that not all Year 3 students have the maturity, road sense or skills to safely ride their bikes to school. This is a decision you must make as a parent. No child is to ride a bike to and from school without a helmet and bike riding inside the school grounds is not permitted for the safety of other students. All students needing to cross Ocean Beach Road must walk their bike from the school bike racks out to the crossing and then walk their bike across when the green man appears (following the directions of the teacher supervising). Once again, this is for their safety and the safety of other students who must follow the same route. Bikes are enclosed in a locked compound during the school day but students must bring a bike lock to secure their own bike within this area. Unfortunately, we do have people from outside the school who attempt to remove bikes. Children riding scooters must obey the same rules. Skateboards and in-line skates are not permitted at school. ‘Positive Behaviour For Learning’ - After School This week, our whole school PBL focus is showing Respect, Responsibility and Relationships 'After School'. Although classroom lessons are finished for the day, it is important that all students continue to remember our school values. Going straight to bus lines, following teachers' instructions and speaking kindly to others while crossing the road and travelling on a bus are all ways we can continue to display our school values after school. The PBL team

Garden Stall! Tomorrow afternoon (Thursday) at 2.50pm we will be setting up another stall to sell our produce from the garden. Please

bring along your coins if you would like to purchase something delicious and healthy and help support our

garden.

There will be chives, lavender, mint, rosemary, mixed lettuce bags, baby spinach and silver beet.

We hope to see you at the garden near Mrs Rasmussen tomorrow afternoon.

The students of WWS have spent a few breaks creating beautiful decorations for our Christmas

tree that will be on display at Erina Fair from Monday the 25th November.

While it is on display, please take the time to go and have a look and vote for our tree as the best-

looking tree on the coast!
